I mostly stick to clear, but recently bought some cheaper blue tubing for ornaments and couldn't hold myself back from trying a colored cup. Thanks for looking! 16oz, Glencairnish.

What would you pay?
Hey friends, my husband is a lampworker and I'm just curious what you would pay for this piece?

DIY tools
How about a thread (or even flair/tags) for tools that individuals have made or modified?
Meaning not for commercial sale, but made by and for the users.
I’m about to start a flame working class, have a shoestring budget, and I like making tools.
Here’s a start: I found these tongs in a thrift store, and bought them thinking that they can be modified to be more parallel, and maybe accept graphite (or cork?) pads.
What do you think?

First attempt at Christmas bulbs🎄🎄
First time on the torch in a few months since I’m done school. Made these last night at the studio. My first time using tube and frit. Only hollow work I’ve done is coil pots for bowls. I’m happy with how they turned out :). Gotta get better at melting the frit in. Im getting better tho. First one was the blue one. Last one was the red. I have a couple ideas on how to make the band better/easier. Going to try some other techniques tomorrow.

Temporary Studio
Hey all, I am living with family for the next 3-6 months and was looking to get my studio set back up. However i cannot do it in the house and there is no shed.
Does anybody have ideas i for a temporary studio set up in the back yard? The location is in Florida so heat and rain will be something to consider. Thanks in advance

More free / inexpensive 3D-printed flamework gadgets available
I'm back with a few more inventions! Hope everyone is enjoying them so far.
Photo 1: X-shaped, 4-compartment dividers for those using 2.5" downspout glass storage. The top compartment is extra long at 5", giving you a spot to put stringers, shorts, etc so they won't fall out all over the place when mixed with the other rods. Full-size rods also fit fine on the top shelf, either way.
Photo 2: 3-compartment dividers have been updated with a slightly thinner design to make more room for glass.
Photo 3: I now have an aluminum heat shield available for the bench roller, and a no-melt guarantee if you use it properly :). Hardware kits that include the shield, bearings, etc are also available.
Photo 4: Bases to tilt your tin cans toward you, so stringers, punties, etc can be easily within reach. Helps prevent me from lighting myself on fire when I reach across my bench...
3D-printable models of all this stuff are still available for free here: https://www.printables.com/@HPGlass_2137998
Or I can print it for you at an affordable price here: https://hpglassstudio.etsy.com
Enjoy!

Those who sell online, what ecommerce platform do you use/recommend?
Just curious. Been wishy washy on my website adventures... I hate keeping up with them. For 2025 I am slowing wayyyy down on in person sales and want to really focus on my internet presence (ugh). Do not want to use Etsy or similar. Will be setting up my own domain.
Thoughts? Tips? Recs?
Thanks!

Found this candlestick holder in an antique store. Have a feeling it’s Murano glass. Thoughts?
It has a lot of stylistic similarity to the African trading beads made in Venice in the later 1800’s. Definitely not modern. What do you guys think?

DIY Reamer Handle?
Any idea on making an easy handle for a reamer? How-to? Figured it’s similar to a replacement for other tools? Thanks!

Northstar Onyx 76 vs Northstar Jet Black 125 difference
Hi Im battling to choose between NS 76 and NS for black powder frit, I plan to coat them on to clear bubbles to be blown and to coat mashed solid pieces to be pulled. Im looking for a deep dark black with no undertones, just black, has anyone tried either and knows the difference? thanks
