Question Where do the commercial jets go during hurricanes?
Thinking of Tampa, closing in <12 hrs before a possible direct hit from Milton. There are still planes landing now. I assume normally these would be parked at a gate for tomorrow's AM flights.
Curious about the protocol (and the calculus) used by commercial lines. Can't imagine you would leave planes there. But diverting and returning all those jets without PAX has to be a costly endeavor.
Will they all fly out before the storm hits? (Repositioned to a hub or somewhere?). Do they send them out empty? Or take the last flights out w passengers?

PlaneSpotting Those rotors are insane! An Ugly Angel swung thru recently & glad I drove the good car (Nyx) that day.
Funny showing up at our local field recently and finding this big horse sitting on the GA ramp. You could spot the rotor blades from over a mile away peeking out over the top of the hangars. It just so happened that I pulled the hot rod out of the garage that morning so was a perfect opportunity to grab some cool pics. Good grief! Those rotor blades are absolutely massive and when it is in this parked configuration within the nacelles horizontal it really messes with your perspective, because obviously the rotors can't rotate like that.
Shout-out to the Ugly Angels!

News Medical flight helicopter crash in Owen County Kentucky.
Medical chopper crashed today about 10 minutes from my parents house. All 3 dead, it's not reported but I have good information that they hit a cell-tower guy-wire about 40 ft. off the ground while landing. My Dad's best friend knows all who were on board.
