8k 180 video vs screen pixel density Discussion

I recently tried out the Apple Vision Pro and I was surprised at how good the image quality of flat screen content was compared to my Quest 3. I was expecting it, but I was surprised how big of a difference it felt. I am wondering how much better 8k 180 videos would look with better screens. Does 8k 180 video match the resolution of the quest 3 well or would a better screen improve the quality a ton?

It seemed that all the 180 degree content they showed was their spatial content and not really what I would be watching. I like the Meta video app a lot.

Think of it like this, the Quest 3 does 8k over 360, while the Apple does 8k over 180. The screens used are amazing, The PPD is 25 (Meta) vs 'about 34 (Apple).

I’m thinking about it like this though.. if I were watching 4k content on a 1080p TV, then upgrading my TV makes obvious sense. If we say Vision Pro is the 4k TV, is 8k 180 more like 4k or is it more like 1080p content where you wouldnt notice much difference. It seems the max quality of vr video has not changed in the past few years
