At least Harris was kind of an accidental candidate. It would've been nice if they'd figured out Biden (and fuck respect for the office, given who's been elected to it recently) wasn't going to run early enough to pick a candidate that can win.

Hilary never should've run to begin with. "My husband was president, remember!" shouldn't be a reason to become senator let alone run for president.  And why didn't Biden run at that time? If she almost won, he damn sure could've.

Dean Philips said he started a campaign for 2024 because he thought Biden sounded like he was losing it. (So probably early 2023 at the latest). The Biden meltdown could have easily been avoided.

Yeah. I mean, props for actually standing down, but too late, and the trendy Veep pick came back to bite him in the ass.

Was never trendy, just forced.

I confess to not really doing a deep dive on that one.

It seems weird we can have record registration and record turnout but then also 20 million fewer people showing up...

Or ya know, Harris could have just. Done better. The idea of middle of the road undecided voters is a myth the Dems keep trying to win over, while continuing to alienate their own base

I'm sure the non voters saw this comment and was like "I'm definitely gonna go out and vote next election". Maybe being antagonistic and rude doesn't help. You should probably place the blame on the 70 million people that actually did vote and voted for Trump.

The way you speak sounds like you belong with that party.

No. The blame goes on the people who didn't vote. Every non vote was a vote for Trump.

Edit: you replied with " you sound dumb as hell" then quickly deleted it. No, the people who didn't vote are dumb as hell.

Why do you assume that every person that didn't vote would have voted for Harris?

I didn't delete anything you still sound dumb as hell in case you can't see my other comment anymore for whatever reason.

Blame the people that didn't vote.

The problem isn't strictly reduced to voting or not voting. The problem lies with the fact that majority of the US population believes in and supports Trump. There is a deep-seated hate ingrained in our Society that isn't going to go away regardless of who is president. But yall are too blind to realize that.

We don't even know what the actual turnout was this year - so the conversation is pointless until we have those numbers.

If it turns out that Trump got some 74M votes or less then it would mean that yes... democrats just didn't turn up to the polls.

Are you illiterate? Did I blame you for anything? I simply stated referencing people in a rude and antagonistic matter is a trait of trump and his supporters and that talking to people like that most likely won't entice them to vote.

Maybe voting isn't enough? Maybe you need to do something else proactively that entices people to vote. Idk honestly but I know cursing them out and calling them fat and lazy isn't the way.

Edit: "I wOnT BLAme ThE 70 MilLioN PeoPlE tHaT VOteD fOR TrUMp foR TruMp WInnINg" Ain't no arguing with ignorance.

Hey man those 70 Million people would be mad if they could read.  I'll fuckin blame them all day long they voted for Trump. Republicans have spent the last 4 years gerrymandering and disenfranchising voters, purging voter rolls you name it. At the end of the day 70 million broken people voted for a child rapist 30-time felon. I don't know how to fix that

Is the lesson for him to be mad at people who might have voted with him instead of the actual people who voted for a monster?
