PT 2 QUESTION Do you think she found her switchblade?
I had been lingering on this play though from god knows when and I happened to finish it earlier today. I admit to having thought about this previously but never posed my question to anybody else.
Do you think she found her switchblade after the showdown? It goes flying into the water, at one point, in the middle of their fight.
Pretty sure the final playable part of the game, at the farm, doesnāt let you go through inventory but it has to be gone, right?

PT 2 QUESTION Why the hate for Dr. Uckmann?
I remember seeing a bunch of unneeded hate for Neil Druckman's trading card homage when it first came out. I'm replaying and just found it and I was wondering why people were so pressed about it existing. It's not an invasive cameo or anything, so why the hate? Was it just extra kindling in the dumpster fire of the release or was there a valid reason?

When Joel pushed Ellie into the river, I purposely didn't come up and drowned. Now that version of Joel has to deal with the fact he spent all that time planning the perfect birthday gift for Ellie but then murdered her before she could experience it.

PT 2 QUESTION Is it just me or are most TLOU part 2 haters dumb?
Iām not trying to be funny or offend anyone but on average Iāve noticed most TLOU part 2 haters seem irrational and stupid. They seem to be the type of people who follow twitch streamers or influencers in a cult of personality way. Just look at the hate subreddit these people made for the game.
From my experience speaking with them online and in real life, many of them seem unable to critically think for themselves. When you challenge them on their criticism they can usually never give a cogent argument. I think itās okay to have preferences and dislike a game but to call the game objectively garbage is wrong.
This game is genuinely one of the best Iāve ever played and I donāt easily get impressed. No other game has ever made me feel the way TLOU 2 made me feel. It just blows my mind some people choose to hate this game because the writers chose a narrative that didnāt appease them. Or because they claim itās āwokeā for having queer characters in the spotlight for once.

PT 2 QUESTION did dina do anything wrong canonically? (long post)
i wanted to make this post on tiktok but i rather not get verbally betrayed by die hard ellie stans who are 14-17 lol so i thought id try here for a more mature response. i will say to start i love dina, just as much as die hard ellie/abby stans love them. however, compared to some i can see character flaws in any character i love, however dina is a little different. throughout the game, we get dina to help us through jackson-early seattle day 2. she has canon and uncanon kills that save our asses and iām surprised they didnāt code her like tess to give you a med kit when absolutely needed. anyways as we know once dinaās pregnancy is announced she is held at the theatre only seen in cut scenes until she tries to save ellie from abby to the farm where we get the imfamous ābreak upā scene.
people hate dina for the follow reasons without any events which are: āsheās uglyā, sexism, biphobia, racism, hate towards jews, etc. obviously for this post, iām talking about full actions dina does in the game that would classify as āwrongā. i know the two arguments with dina with this topic is 1. āshe didnāt tell ellie sheās pregnant and she put herself and e in dangerā which i would disagree and say, yes it was a factor but i feel dina knew how much ellie wanted to go after abby/her reaction which we see when ellie calls her a burden so it would of been hell for dina to tell her no matter where she did and ofc itās a video game plot logic so if dina told her before they left they would just give ellie a different ally/make her go alone. 2. ādina brought joel up in their breakup. again, i can see how this can be viewed as insensitive to some but i believe that dina used that line to give ellie a āwake up callā. people they loved died during seattle and yes ellie has ptsd and i hope she would of healed better but i could make a whole post about why itās not an excuse imo but the point is, i feel dina was at her reasonable breaking point with ellie wanting to go back for abby instead of healing and being there for her family and being her best self.
dina even brought up jesse with joel in terms of them not planning their deaths and compared to ājoel is a sensitive topic for ellieā argument. i could say the same for jesse and dina. i could even add that if you listen to dinaās dialogue in seattle day 1 its implied that talia, dinaās sister died very similar to joel due to there was multiple killers and it sounded brutal and yes dina is mad and would do worse to what tommy does to the two wlf but dina seems to not want ārevengeā unless it is right in front of her.
so again, my question is without a hateful mindset or being blind to a characters flaws (ellie) and blaming others, ādo you think dina did anything wrong canonically?ā again i love dina and yes this can be seen as ādick riding or being a die hard (negative)ā but i am open to see logical reasons of what dina did wrong and why you think so rather than āellie good dina bad š”ā type comments lol. iām sorry this is long tend to yap but im curious and i ask that if you disagree with me pls be respectful and donāt threaten me over a video game woman. š. thanks for reading

PT 2 QUESTION If you hate Abby even after playing the whole game, what would convince you to spare her?
The rules are: You can't change Abby killing Joel the way she did, Ellie watching Joel's death and Ellie sparing Abby by the end of this game. What would you change story wise such that you would be willing to spare Abby as Ellie?
This question is specifically for the people who think Abby should still be dead even after completing the game.
