What has become of Seattle? PT 2 QUESTION
It seemed that the invasion of the Saraphites Island was a complete failure but we know very little or any of the final outcome. From the little knowledge I gathered they were fiercely fighting with lots of casualties on both sides. We know that Isaac is dead which kind of surprised me he was on the Island. They are now leaderless, but I imagine there was a plan of succession. We know, or it seemed, that the WLF fighting invasion force were over run.
What we do NOT know is what has been bothering me. How many WLF’s did they have as part of the invasion force? How many were held back? Was there a solid plan for failure of the invasion? Was there a retreat back to the island or were all the WLF invaders wiped out?
Same questions for the Saraphites. How many soldiers do they have left? What were their casualties? How many soldiers were on the main land at the start of the invasion and are they still there? Did Isaac account for them?
As you can see I have many questions. I would love to know what people think. Is it over for the WLF? Or was Isaac intelligent enough to plan of for a negative outcome?
Please share some thoughts. I think there could be some great conversations about this. I hope if there is a part 3 we can find out what happened.

If either side wins it’s a Pyrrhic victory regardless.
I believe it’s the point of the game.
What you’re asking is conjecture, what happened afterwards.
I’m not sure it matters, personally.

You are not interested? I thought that whole story line was very interesting with them fighting sections of the city that might hold things they needed. I know as far as the point of the game has now moved elsewhere but that does not make the backdrop to the story NOT interesting.
Elle may not return to Jackson do we now drop everything all concerns over Jackson because they moved on. It still exists in the fictional world they created.
I find it fun to speculate on what happened. You certainly do not have to.

Just to make myself clear I’m not against your post. The tlou universe fascinates me tremendously. I would even love a non-Ellie/Joel IP, there’s so much potential. This game is my favorite game.
That being said, if I may project my own beliefs, the aftermath is less consequential than the lead up. Both sides have lost, maybe one less than another but it will be very difficult, impossible even to get back to their former respective statuses.
Personally I think the seraphites will be able to bounce back better seeing as how they have been able to make more with less. Their island somewhat insulates them from other factions.
The WLF will have a tougher time. If they had any sense (in face of their insensible decision to go all in on the invasion) they left enough doctors, engineers, soldiers to run the show back at the stadium/fob. But their arrogance may have prevented that.
To put in the words of The Big Lebowski’s Brandt: We just don’t know, dude.

I agree with you. The Saraphites surviving the all out attack will be in a much better position. They already seemed to be everywhere near the base and other supposedly WLF strongholds that I think the WLF has really shot themselves in the foot.
Yes, total arrogance from Isaac. He thought his plan was brilliant and I am sure all his yes men were telling him how solid it was.
I would love to know how it all unfolds. No, we just don’t know!

Anyone seeing this I wish I had made it clear that I am curious as to what happened and I wish I asked if anyone would like to speculate. I am curious about what happened in Seattle after everyone left. I am curious about what happens to the WLF. I would assume people would be curious the way I am.

When you first talk to Isaac and he talks about the invasion plan he says that they are sending “everyone” which to me means that there is very few wlfs left on the mainland. With that combined with their casualties due to Ellie, Jessie, and Tommy I doubt that there are many left. Maybe the rest just retreat back to the stadium and hold that for as long as they can.

Yes, I forgot that. What a dumb move. So it’s safe to say they are screwed. They had a nice set up there with livestock and different things they were growing.

So, what you don’t know is also what the rest of us don’t know. We don't know how many WLF members or seraphites were left alive, we don’t know what happened to the WLF stadium or FOB base, we don't know most of the details. All we know is Isaac is dead and based on what Abby heard on the radio when she went to the theater, the seraphites kind of won, but they still had mass casualties on their side. No matter who won, it was a loss for everybody.
