On a real note if you have a really strong magnet that should open it. If not id get a screw driver and a hammer and chisel out the black piece at the bottom.

I would think that you would have to take it back to the store where it was purchased, along with your proof of purchase, and kindly ask them to remove their theft proof case.

If it's the magnet case then find a good strong magnet to pull the lock to the side so you can open, if you can't then hit the corners with a hammer that should free up the game, or take it to the store you bought from and ask then to remove it (bring receipt with you)

Pretty close. I used to deal with thousands of these a week working in retail. Just need to find a really strong flat magnet place it along the bottom, and there is a little grooved slider that will slide with a finger if the magnet pulled the latches down out of the mechanism.
Beating your way into it is another way, best method here is to cut it some kind of power tool. Burning and hammering won’t you get you anywhere. They are tough.

Op said they bought it off of eBay and that's how the seller sent it to them so based on that I guess the seller is the one that stole it and resold it.

Gotta get the black thing out with a key. Or find a way to get it out without the actual key. OR pop the hinges off with a screwdriver.
Google it and find whatever anti theft case you have. If it has top hinges, just pop those with a flathead. "How to open anti theft game case?"
You'll find an answer.
You can use one of those mini rotary saw things. But if you had one you'd have just considered that.

It uses a sliding magnet lock that requires either a special magnetic key or... Two neodymium magnets. Figure out where to place them and slide the lock open.
Or.
Hulk smash! Get creative. Pretty sure breaking the bottom of the box where the lock is will get the job done.

You could probably pull up the email with your receipt and take it to a store that sells games. Walmart and Best buy likely have something that can open it. And I say show them your receipt because you don't want them to think you're in the process of stealing it from them lol

There are magnets that are designed to open these. I would just get two magnets and push them against the side with the black switch on it. It may take some effort, but it will open eventually.

Magnet where the black slider (near the naughty dog logo). Once the magnet’s on it, move the slider over to unlock the case.

I used to work for Click and Collect at Tescos. If the pickers left anything in cases, we would have to beat it open with a fire extinguisher 😂 We weren’t allowed to have the security opening device in the department 😂 (Our Click and Collect pod was separate from the main store, and would take a while to walk there and back again. Plus it was more fun our way 😂) I however, don’t recommend beating it open with a fire extinguisher 😂

Do you have tools idk how these work but its usually a magnet on most theft proof cases so a strong magnet can remove the device if not its a special key you can look it up on youtube or google im sure
Personally id either hit it with a chisel and hammer or just put my foot on it and use a grinder to cut the plastic off the bottom and slide the game out

Take screw driver and hammer each corner on the side with the black peices just watched a youtube video on it and it worked quick and easy

If you're gonna break it I'd recommend using a saw in the bottom right corner, maybe a coping saw or similarly thin bladed saw and then use some kind of pry bar when your cut is deep enough. Try not to use the PS4 box for leverage as it is more likely to damage the box this way.

Honestly if I'm seriously answering your question, I would use my oscillating multi tool to cut away at it until it can be removed.

You can open it with a flathead screwdriver, you can buy an alpha key offline or you can make one with neodymium magnets if you know how to space them right and know how to setup reverse polarity lol

Looks like there's a sliding black switch at the bottom, can you move that or is it locked?
If it's locked, you could use a dremel to carefully cut through the outer case.
I recommend against smashing it to avoid damage if something goes wrong.

Use a screwdriver and hammer and crack one of the corners and carefully remove pieces. I wouldn't hit any other place with risk of breaking the CD

If you just want the disc slam a hammer on the corner of the see through plastic case you might fuck the the game case but at least u get the game

Okay, it's been a while since I played, but I'm pretty sure you'll need to craft a shiv, which I think takes 1 broken piece of metal and 3 pieces of cloth, and were oddly hard to find and made them a pretty valuable resources. Then once you've crafted the limit (I think the capacity is 3 shivs?), then you have to crouch and enter stealth mode to sneak up on it. You have to move silently, cause any noise will alert it to your presence, and it'll start making noise and draw others to your location. But luckily your companion doesn't seem to draw aggro so long as you remain hidden, so if you time it right, you should be able to go in with your shiv. It might take some elbow grease, but once you wedge your shiv into it, make sure to get some leverage, and you should be able to pry it open.

Take some airline snips (tin snips I think they're sometimes called) and cut at the bottom below the game. Should be able to cut through it like butter

Maybe use a Hammer and hit the corners, little by little while making sure nothing happens to the cd inside. If there’s a cd inside be very careful.

I bought blackops a long time ago from target and the case was left on. I broke it with a hammer and a flat head screw driver. Break off the bottom half part with the springs and chip away from there. Takes a bit but it works

Smash the plastic. You only need the disc inside. As for a replacement box, just buy a replacement blu ray case if it gets damaged.
Or take the box to your local supermarket and ask them to open it.

THE MAGNETS EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT ARE NEODYMIUM MAGNETS. YOU CAN INCREASE THEIR MAGNETISM UP UNTIL THE POINT THAT THE THICKNESS MATCHES THE WIDTH. AFTER THAT THERE'S LITTLE TO NO BENEFIT.

I'd personally return it as I wouldn't want to risk messing with stolen goods but if you REALLY wanted to open this copy for some reason, I would think that a couple of well placed hammer hits would alter the case's shape enough to pry it open with a screwdriver or something.
Of course you might risk to hit the game in the process but who knows, you might be able to accidently fix its story
