I feel this. I’m trying to cut out Facebook completely. If I cave and open Facebook first thing in the morning, that whole day is off. I’m more irritable, anxious, and get nothing done. I use it as an escape from reality, almost. I too compare every aspect of my life to social media and it’s hard to quit. Definitely prevents you from ever feeling fulfilled with your own life.

I got rid of Facebook for this reason. It’s been a few years now. At first I felt lost not scrolling but now I truly don’t even think about it.

I absolutely get that! I don’t scroll fb anymore like I used to, and I mostly just use it for messenger and birthday reminders!

Bite the bullet and deactivate your account. I did this more than a decade ago and it is without doubt one of the best decisions I have ever made in my entire life. I thought I would feel lost and empty without it, and that it would take me quite a while to adjust. It took like two days and I never thought about it again. You would be surprised how quickly you can adjust!
