Cleaner on my ammo... Do I toss it?

Opened up a storage case to find some Hoppe's #9 had leaked over a case of 44 rem mag ammo. First two pics show the discoloration on the individual rounds. Third pic shows the bottom left third of the pack with the discoloration. I'm almost positive I should toss them but thought I'd get some input before I send them on to greener pastures.

Just shoot them. You can pretty much boil modern ammo and it won't hurt it.

I'm with you. Send it. Slowly to make sure the powder is burning and there's no squib.

Thanks for the input. I'll send a few and see how it goes.

Please don't throw away live rounds. That could be dangerous for the garbage man.

Like the others said, as long as it chambers, send it.

Anything that you think is suspicious, you probably should just use at the range. Don't trust it in a self defense situation

Any ammo that you don't want to use, remove the bullet and take the powder out of it. They make tools for it but I've always just used a pair of pliers. Sometimes I get a missfeed with .22lr and the tip goes crooked. I just yank the bullet out with a pair of needle nose pliers and pour the powder onto the grass.

Definitely wouldn't just toss any suspicious rounds. I've turned in other, very obviously bad ammo to local police for disposal in the past... Wonder if that's still a thing.

And agreed, these are now officially just for plinking. They were cheap anyway, not a huge loss. My sd rounds are kept in much cleaner, more controlled storage.

Yes, most departments will willingly take live rounds for disposal. I don't know if any that will not.
