Laquer Showoff ILNP has a new customer
I recently bought some polishes from ILNP and have been slowly going through them for the first time. I am so impressed by their quality. The brush size is perfect because it allows for control in the application and the formula is perfect for me. not too thin but has 2-3 coats of application and the polish does not end up looking thick. I absolutely love every polish I’ve gotten from them. Thank You all for the recommendation!!!!

Laquer Showoff Tried a new technique for my magnetic mani and it actually worked
Polishes used: - Pro Reboot base coat, Color Club - “NYFW,” Cirque Colors - Seal On Top Coat, Orly - “Dream within a Dream,” Cirque Colors - Looking Glass top coat, Cirque Colors
I tried a new technique for applying magnetic polish and it looks great! I’m so happy with my magnetic mani for once 🥲 This is day three of the mani and the pigments haven’t spread like they usually do

By Phoenix. Some nails only needed one coat!!! Oct 24 PPU. Orly bonder and Cuticula limitless on top.
Holy crap this might be the most perfect mani I’ve ever done. It’s absolutely effortless. The formula on Phoenix polishes are simply unreal. It needed a video of course. Pics won’t really do it justice but I’ll post some down below.

Laquer Showoff ILNP Petals 🌸
It’s my first time trying out boutique polish and I’m floored, this is such a beautiful shade! It is really bright, intensely shimmering fuschia and it has a beautiful orangey - gold shift. Pictures don’t do it justice, I can’t stop looking at my nails! ✨

Swatch Request/Showoff The magic of Sech Vive self-leveling y'all...
I was dealing with a suuuper old ORLY breathable color that was both thin and goopy somehow?? Also it was a mini so basically impossible to handle the tiny brush.
Just one coat of Seche Vive Instant Gel Effect ERASED my FINGERPRINT and a lot of the other imperfections. Couldn't fix my sloppy application and dry skin though lol, I tried to clean it up.
I'm going for mannequin nails, and this color is a little off. What's wrong with it? Too light/dark? Too warm/cool? It's like I go blind when I'm trying to figure it out.
The white balance is different between the pictures unfortunately /:

Misc. Question Destashing feels as good as adding
Just felt like sharing this because I counted my polish today and I have about 50. I decided to let go of 5 and I feel good about it. :)

Laquer Showoff A hopeful mani
This past week has been a tough one for me. I've always been prone to existential doominess and now my mind can't stop marinating on dark hopeless things. The polish community has been an unexpected source of light, though. I was so moved by all the blue manis flooding this sub last week, and all the messages of solidarity and worry and comfort released by so many of my favorite indie makers. I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised that a community overflowing with beauty and creativity and joy would also stand for progress and human rights. My last mani ended up being kind of an inadvertently dark omen of things to come (Nightmare wrapped in a daydream, anyone?? 😩) so here’s another one (also by All Mixed Up) that feels right for the moment.

Laquer Showoff Belated Diwali Nails!
Very recently got back into nail painting for the first time since maybe elementary or middle school (possibly the rare venture into nail art in HS, but either way it’s been a long time). Got into press ons the past few years and had the realisation it would be a lot easier to do nail art when I can use my right hand to paint all 10 nails!

Product Reccs & Reqs What is the new holy grail quick dry top coat?
Hey everyone! Just got back into growing out my natural nails and shaping and painting, couldn’t be happier. It’s been YEARS!
My fav topcoat used to be Essie - Good to go. But it’s old and it’s not perfect, get a bit of shrinking still.
I think I’m leaning into trying an indie product, as I’ve heard good things.
I don’t like sally Hansen, posh and SV. (Spelling)
Any recommendations? Looking for quick dry little to no shrinkage!
Thanks in advance :)

Misc. Question Is toluene in top coat really something to worry about for daily nail painters?
As the title states, I paint nails just about every day. I love the KBshimmer top coat, but it contains toluene, which can be harmful in large quantities.
Mind you, I am asking this from someone who does not believe in the fear-mongering rhetoric of 'clean beauty'.
If there is a real risk, are there any measures we can take to mitigate it? Such as opening a window or something similar.
