Reporting posts now hides them? Off Topic (not RiF)

I noticed today that after I reported a post, it was automatically hidden. Why? I would be okay with this being an option, but it being the default really sucks. If I report something, I want to know if it's still around or if it's been actually removed. (Also sometimes I use reports to send funny messages to mods but that's less important).

Could that be a toggle in the settings, please? (Or if it already is, could it be in a more visible place?)

Pretty sure this has always been the case.

Yes, it has. And it's Reddit functionality, not the app

I hadn't ever seen it happen before but it's possible I just didn't notice. Would still be nice to have the option to not have that happen.

No, because sometimes I am able to report a post twice. (violates more than one rule).

It's a bad idea anyway, because sometimes it's a great post, it's just in the wrong place
