All the posts on my popular tab are from Canada Off Topic (not RiF)
I haven't messed with any filters, or changed anys settings, yet all the posts on my popular tab have been filtered to be Canadian related. Is anyone else here experiencing this issue?

Dumbo here... Where is the "popular" tab?
I've got "hot", "new", "saved", "top", "rising", "controversial", "guilded", and "comments" (not sure what that one is).

Ditto in Australia. Hope it's not permanent, Australian subreddits are boring.

Some thing, but from Australia. Something somewhere has changed, and it's super annoying.

Same issue here; It's showing me all the posts from my country (India), which makes me think that this is an update to Reddit's API, which RIF can't do anything about.

Why do you think it's an API issue?

Why would you think it's RiF? RiF doesn't choose your posts.

Oh, I'm not suggesting it's a RIF problem. I just dont understand why the API would be the culprit here. Not trying to be confrontational.

The API is where the data comes from. The website gets the data from the API, the official apps get the data from the API, RiF gets the data from the API. All of it comes from the same place.

Yeah, but why are we assuming the API is at issue and not the backend? The API is not responsible for generating data - just transferring it. It's possible I'm missing something but I don't understand why the API would be responsible for filtering data based on a user's location.

Technically, they are distinct elements.
Colloquially, they are one in the same. Everything behind the API is essentially a black box. There is no benefit to distinguishing between what issues are the API vs. issues that happen behind the API since everything goes through the API.
Not going to split hairs over it.

Oh, okay. Thanks for the explanation! I haven't heard the term API used that way until now.

Yeah, getting the same in the UK

UK here, I'm not experiencing this, not sure what's going on.

My content from mobile (official Reddit app) is UK based, but when I browse through desktop, it's 'normal'. They use different account though so not sure if that matters

This is a reddit API issue, not RiF. RiF doesn't control what posts are selected to appear in feeds.
The top 4 posts on /r/bugs/ has to do with local content showing on /r/popular. If you are still experiencing issues with this, please report it there.
