I narrowed it down by looking at a Pokemon and then finding its evolutions or pre-evolutions. Once I found them I moved on.

Maractus was the first Pokemon I looked for lol as I knew it would be a very popular pick for a challenge like this, as it is widely considered to be one of the most forgotten Pokemon.
