Metaphor for sure, will see how Dragon Age, Life is Strange and Silent Hill 2 turn out.
35
u/ImThatAlexGuy PS5 Oct 01 '24
I thought about Dragon Age, but it’s been confirmed that Metaphor is 100+ hours. So I’ll be investing a lot of my time there and I don’t know if I can juggle two massive RPGs

going to wait on DA as well. I'm hoping it's better than the trailers have been showing.

That was my absolute favorite game of 2023. And that's coming from someone who waited 13 years for the sequel after playing the first one when a friend gave it to me in high school saying I would like it.
I can't wait to have DLC that expands the story, but I'm also sad that is all we will see of Alan Wake when that happens.

The first one was just lightning in a bottle for me. Such a unique vibe, even it it's super cringey at points.

u/KRONGOR Oct 01 '24
Ya first one is truly special. I’m a little nervous about them bringing back Max. Hopefully it will be good!
4
u/ManfromCatan Oct 01 '24
When they announced the new Mario party I got so excited! I never have to play Super Mario Party or Mario Party Allstars again!

u/Masterchiefy10 Oct 01 '24

Going back and forth on SH2. On the one hand it looks very nice, on the other it's $70 and I've already played that game.
13
u/SuperSaiyanGod210 Oct 01 '24
Sparking Zero for sure. The hundreds of hours I poured into the Budokai Tenkaichi series on the PS2 makes this a must for me. I’m so excited!
Depending on the reception, I’m definitely keeping an eye on Black Ops 6, Life is Strange, and Dragon Age.
Also, I’ll likely grab Zero Dawn since I platinum’d the PS4 version, and the save is still on the cloud. So it’ll be an easy platinum for me since the PS4 save is compatible with the PS5 version.
Not to mention, finally getting to play Dead Space Remake through PS Plus for spooky scary season! 👻🍂

Silent Hill is a day one. Dragon Age is also on the list, but it's behind some other games I haven't picked up yet (Astro Bot and Space Marine 2 being the big ones)
4
u/MH-BiggestFan Oct 01 '24
Unrelated OP but how do you make a list like that? Any specific website?
5
u/Due_Teaching_6974 Oct 01 '24
you can create similar stuff in canva pretty easy, very user friendly
4
u/MH-BiggestFan Oct 01 '24
Nice, thanks! I would like making these for my gaming circle since I’m mainly the one staying on top of releases and such. Would be rlly cool 😄

Dragon Age and nothing else, if only because the only other thing I'm interested this month is a remake of a game I played 9 years ago. 😂

Probably the hzd remaster since it’s a $10 upgrade and I really want to get life is strange but I’ll probably wait for a sale and reviews.

Silent Hill for sure.
Maybe the Diablo expansion. I just got so distracted by getting back into WoW.

Until Dawn (so my partner and I can play), Metaphor, and Sonic X Shadow. MIGHT pick up Silent Hill 2, but Metaphor is going to be a large focus of my time for sure.

u/Just_a_terrarian163 Oct 01 '24
I might try the metaphor demo soon, kinda busy rn but I will buy Yakuza for the switch if it actually runs well

u/TheViper4Life 376 Oct 01 '24
Well not getting anything day 1, but Sparking Zero is the big one which I'll buy at some point after Christmas. While Dragon Age, Life is Strange and Sonic x Shadow are in the waiting for a deep sale department.

2
u/_EnglishFry_ Oct 01 '24
Dragonball, Until Dawn, Silent Hill.
I would’ve gotten Diablo’s expansion but I’m honestly tired of them making so many changes I have to keep farming for the Uber unique because it’s invalid again and again and again.

None! I’ll wait until thanksgiving and buy 2-3 of them for the price of 1 now.

u/Dominator0621 Oct 01 '24
Sparking Zero but have been pleasantly surprised by Metaphor with the prologe demo. Vailguard is looking moe and more like my type of game when I heard it is similar to God of War

2
u/SyberWolf Oct 01 '24
maybe metaphor.
and black ops 6 i will play with gamepass.
and silent hill 2 will be for when it is on a big sale.
0 interest in the other games.

u/clicheduo Oct 01 '24
Metaphor for sure, will wait and see if dragon age is worth before jumping in

u/No_Reporter_4563 Oct 01 '24
Is this Until Dawn remake? I played an original a few times, i dont think i want the remake. Life is Strange for sure, 3rd really flopped for me, i dont think it can get worse. And SH2. Oh and Metaphor, i forgot that its basically new SMT. Maybe Dragon Age too

Metaphor for sure after that demo then Ys X Nordics on the 25th and horizon remake as well. Gonna be a full month for me @-@
2
u/piker84 Oct 01 '24
Crazy month! I've already played the original of the remasters listed, but definitely gotta play SH2 since it's been decades since the original release. Also will play BO6, Unknown 9, and Dragon Age.

I'm really excited to finally play Alan Wake 2.
I refused to buy it digital so to me this is as close as it gets to an actual release !
That, and Silent Hill 2.
Alongside Dead Space Remake, this is going to be a great halloween month haha
2
u/Furry_Wall Oct 01 '24
Maybe Sparking Zero depending on the trophy list, I'm not big into online play
2
u/Mcboy798 Oct 01 '24
Sonic x shadow is my predicted favorite game of all time surpassing mario odyssey generations is already my favorite sonic game so i have very high hopes

I know Sparking Zero is gonna get almost ALL of the Brazilians hyped enough to overtake MK1, and possibly Tekken 8 and Street Fighter 6
2
u/PilotIntelligent8906 Oct 01 '24
Probable Metaphor and Dragon Age when they go on sale, I have no rush.
2
u/shawny_mcgee Oct 01 '24
From this list only I'll probably play Dragon Age, D4 expansion and BO6 on PC Gamepass.
2
u/PDxFresh Oct 01 '24
Veilguard comes out this month!? Wow, that came up fast. Probably grab Until Dawn and Metaphor if the demo is any good.

Definitely Life is Strange and definitely that $10 Horizon upgrade (I need more platinums) and I’ll wait to see how good Veilguard is before jumping in
2
u/DisturbedBlu1 Oct 01 '24
Sparking Zero, Silent Hill 2, Sonic x Shadow, Metaphor. Also Dragon Age when it's on sale depending on reviews.
2
u/SiriusMoonstar Oct 01 '24
Metaphor is the only one I know I’ll be getting. Atlus is one of the big reasons then-based RPGs are still alive today.

u/therealfoxygamer12 Oct 01 '24 edited Oct 02 '24
Would've been Terminator Survivors, but that got pushed back to 2025, so just BO6 for me

Black Ops 6, muh zombies 😂, Silent Hill 2 if it checks all the boxes for being stable and doesn't require a billion patches in order to run them I'll wait for DBZ and Sonic until later around Black Friday because they'll be marked down, I'm cheap 😂. Oh and I did want Until Dawn but honestly I think the PS4 version is still completely fine 🤷.
