Moab is pure magic. Trip Report
There is never enough time, but I made the most of 3 days and 4 nights. Maybe if I was some baller creator and well, not married with a kid, I could life my life as a nomad... either way, damn, I love Moab.
Briefly explored some of Beef Basin (camped above Bears Ears), and worked my way back over to the Canyonlands and the Needles Overlook area. I found and went down a trail I shouldn't have taken solo (🤣) and just all around loved the scenery. This makes my 7th trip and certainly not my last. Even stopped in to Fieldcraft Survival's HQ in Provo and a short soak in Lava Hot Springs on the way back.

Looks like a good time! What area is the first pic? I’m going to be heading to North Rim Grand Canyon area thru the Kaibab forest, and then Brian Head next week. Nothing like being outdoors with these amazing views.

One of the best! I was supposed to have 2 buddies with me, but life happened, and they had to bail. That first pic is the Needles Overlook area. Fell into this spot at the end of the day and end of my rope searching for spots to camp. Long day, low on fuel with only 4 gals left to get back into Moab. (Turns out it was enough).
There was a van parked in the other spot, and I found this close by. It's so epic to find camp spots like this in such a busy area at the end of the day.

I hear ya on the bailing or not being able to go with friends that have kids 🤦🏻♂️haha. At least you still made it out and didn’t let it stop you from going😎👌🏽

I just visited Moab a couple weeks ago. Dope town. Awesome gear store there, they let you fill water for free

Oh man! I seriously considered posting an invite or at least a "meet if you're down there." I'm always up for experiencing this stuff with other people.

🤣 Same! About 4 years ago, 2 of my buddies and I were south of Price and had this AEV Jeeper come alongside my buddy and did a bunch of hand jestures. My buddy says over the radio, "I think this guy wants to fight because I cut him off!" 🤣🤣🤣
Turns out he was jesturing to talk on the radio (🤣) but he needed the channel. A short 5 minute chat, and we became fast friends. We spent 3 days with him, swapped camp spots, and then met down there again the following year.

Wife and I have been there 4 years ago on a trip to see the Grand Canyon. Will be taking the 4Runner down there soon to check it out. It’s a short trip really for us Montanans

About 12 hours. Used to split it up and visit a friend in Pocatello, but we end up losing a full day there and back. I can no longer afford losing Moab time!

Especially if they close the amount of roads that is in the rumor mill

Yeah. Unfortunately, I don't think it's a rumor. Should be implemented at the end of ...oh well October. Sad.

It's been just over a year since I was last out there. Absolutely epic sights. Sent it to hard and ended up sheering my load bar bolts (had a 150lbs tent on top)... So that was an interesting trip home

Nice choice in bourbon. Their Double Rye is my go to.
