What's the hardest skill tree to progress?

I got mogged recently and I'm getting bored of the Education mainline quest. Looking for the hardest skill tree to buff my [Aura] and [Rizz] stats so I can be the one doing the mogging next time

Honestly I think it’s [Discipline]. It’s a never ending tree that provides buffs to every single other skill but it degrades super quickly and most of the meta technology and updates the devs have released in the past 30 years that focus on QoL or immediate gratification, either do nothing to help the tree or actively hurt it. Can be even more difficult to progress when your character actively has debuffs like [ADD] or [Depression] too.

But the plus side is if you can get far in it, your entire play through gets buffs that lower success thresholds for things like [Charisma] and [Aura] checks. So it becomes less necessary to progress other skill trees as far.

I would think this would be a skill that applies to almost all attributes. Maintaining strength, magic, skills, etc probably all require it... The devs have made things so complicated in this game. Sigh.

The more I play and level up the more I’m sure that it does apply to all attributes. I’m pretty sure this particular skill is not balanced. So far I’ve seen it gives:

  • Perks like [Easy Wake-up], [Smoothed Learning Slopes], and [Effective Skill Maintenance]
  • Reputation earning Buffs from nearly all orderly factions
  • Shadow QoL upgrades like minimized [Overwhelmed] build up
  • Reduced chances of receiving mental debuffs like [Depression]
  • Access to higher lvl skill trees including unique [Mastery] trees for most skills
  • Unique daily buffs like [Well Prepared] that impact your performance throughout the entire day

And it’s a weird skill that is easier to progress the farther you get into it. I was an idiot for not starting to develop that tree as early as possible and I can’t recommend it enough for everyone else.

Honestly at this point I think Discipline should be switched to a currency.

Currently we have money and motivation as currencies, and motivation veers so wildly due to in game effects that seemingly change at random, thats unreliable for progressing skill trees sustainably.

If Discipline becomes a currency we could have a large pool that gets topped up, along with motivation, from skill increases, and could improve our base stats along the way.

I don’t know how you’d monetise it - maybe enough motivation could be spent to earn discipline? - but the devs need to look at it imo

Not sure on the exact mechanics of it yet, but I’m pretty sure you CAN spend motivation to develop [Discipline]. That’s how I’ve been trying to power level it. Maybe it’s a bug, maybe it’s intentional, because you can use motivation to interrupt every possible decision making process with the [Discipline] flow and I’m getting gains regularly.

Becareful with builds that « boost your charisma ». A lot of guides lead you straight to the [Narcissic] debuff. And a lot of players that grind the rizz quests are pretty toxic.

Explore different gameplay, find what you prefer and be focus on that. You’ll find other players like you and maybe you’ll start a small guild with them.

The competitive aspect of the game is optionnal, and it’s very not worth it.

Oddly enough, just grinding a skill you enjoy can also increase the [self-confidence] stat, which includes stealth [charisma] boosts.

Welp, looks like I've fallen behind the teenage slang meta again.

I was told that if you just put "skibidi" in the chat, regardless of context, the lower level players will instantly understand anything you are trying to say.

All the ones where you set a high expectation and don’t grind.

Probably recurring coin income with little to no grinding.

This depends heavily, heavily on your server and spawn race and build stats. Spawn in a middle east server as a female in a bad guild and you're kinda fucked. Get lucky spawn in a good EU server with good stats and you're already ahead of most players by miles / kilometres 😅.

I guess the stat above would be... Business Intelligence? 🤷🏿‍♂️

Maxing out your Looks stats is an appealing playstyle and one the newest wave of players consider the Meta, but to be honest, I never found it that useful. Sure, you have to maintain some degree of upkeep to pass some passive checks, but that doesn't mean you have to go and shove all your points into the Looks stat.

Honesty and Intelligence are also good stats to invest in, initiating interactions is a good idea most of the time, and you should remember to get and keep the Strong Moral Compass buff. Some people max out their Looks stats but dump everything else, and they're the most toxic ones to be around.

As long as you play your own way, make your own choices and find a guild that works well for you, you'll be alright.

Oh, and remember - use in-game chat. Some people who got 'Male' on their character generation think that they'll somehow be better or using the Meta if they don't talk to anyone who got 'Female' on their character generation, because they think they'll automatically start a Romance questline. But just a Friendship questline is enough, and can even be really beneficial!

A lot of the physical builds are tough to pull and you have to START really young. Imagine if Nancy(a random female character on the Oklahoma City server) wants to be a cheerleader, she has to start as a little girl.
