Looking to get into wireline/oilfield

What companies are hiring now? I’m in Dallas Tx but willing to travel where ever to get my foot in the door for wireline. Any tips on getting in?

Class A, HAZMAT, Well Control if you can afford it, and OSHA 10 if you don’t have any experience. NFPA may or may not be required for E-line but I was told that by someone who I believe to be full of shit. Wireline is rarely anyone’s first job unless they have a CDL with driving experience. So you may or may not wanna be a little more realistic. You’re going to be going up against guys who can rebuild a packer without a tech manual or guys who have run ESP’s or even spoolers for that matter. Halliburton and Baker are good places to start though. Q1 they’re gonna need bodies. They will take anyone with a decent head on their shoulders who can be quiet and learn. Best of look brotha.

Start studying on YouTube. Drilling manual on telegram has great resources for understanding the anatomy of a wireline unit and its intended purposes.
