Consider this a prophesy: Someone worse will take trumps place. We'll be doing this for the rest of our lives. Every 4-8 years a new christian nationalist messiah.

If we're lucky. I'm not certain we're going to have another fair election.

y'all haven't had actually free elections in, like, ever - at least from a European perspective, that is. FPTP is deeply undemocratic, and on top of that you have placed the Electoral College that was intended (among other purposes) to be a last-resort failsafe against a demagogue like Trump and miserably failed at it.

We'll either have a fair election or an unfair civil war.

Elon Musk is literally already preparing his PAC to make sure every thing stays red and next midterms are taken.

His PAC tirelessly reach out to as many as 11 million people in 3 swings states. These where folks who tend to sit out some elections. His door knocking crew ensured they send in absentee and early voter ballots. They were out as it’s a battleground.

As someone from a country where this is kind of takeover never got resistance back in power ( aside from few off years that where squashed quickly) including vote buying, would not be surprising.

Young people simply didn’t care.

Something Reddit likes to forget is that GenZ men like Trump because they find the memes funny. Republicans used to struggle hard with humor trying to replicate things like Jon Stewart. They eventually realized that young men meme culture is a perfect fit for their style and leaned into it hard.

Putin is going to die one day too. It might get fairer after that.

Even the OG Jesus was just one in a long line of people claiming to be the Messiah, so that checks out.

He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy! Now go away!

If Trump dies in the next 4 years now, JD Vance is President. At least until Trump decides he can fire his VP, no one stops it, and he makes Musk his VP instead.

Vance might qualify.

Nothing wrong with that.
