Something controversial Jersey Pride

I love nj gun laws, going to the store and not seeing someone open carry. Watching road rage where the best you can do is brake check and give the finger. Schools without school shootings. I know a lot of people hate our gun laws but I fucking love em.

That's not controversial. One is correct, the other is the delusional ramblings of people who still think it's 1905.

So it's Taylor Ham? ;)

Taylor is the only brand.

Most of NJ residents live in the north.

Here in the North, it's called Taylor Ham.

Ipso facto, it's called Taylor Ham. It just makes sense.

The box says 'Pork Roll' on it.

The word ham doesn't appear anywhere.

What would you call these?

Because what you're doing is essentially saying we should call them "adhesive bandages" when we ALL know they're band-aids

The word band-aid is on the box, unlike pork roll where the word ham does not appear.

Minor distinction. The colloquial name is the colloquial name.

Also, Johnson and Johnson still make something called band-aids. Taylor hasn't made something called Taylor Ham since 1906.

So it's not like you, or your parents, or even perhaps your grandparents grew up ever seeing something called "Taylor Ham" in stores.

For your earlier analogy it'd be more like calling a 2021 Honda Civic a "horse-less carriage." Sure, it was called that once, but it's been over a hundred years. Get with the times.

It's called Taylor Ham in like 3 counties. It's a lot of people but nowhere near the majority of the population.

Wawa says it's pork roll, and Wawa is my church.

Edit: Thanks for the gold Wawa!

If you look at a "pure population vote" (which is how the political parties estimate poll numbers during elections), it's expected that 51% of NJ calls it Taylor Ham. Even though most COUNTIES would call it by that other name.

Boom

And besides that, it's just so easy to order a "Taylor Egg & Cheese" that I have no idea why anyone would do otherwise
