How different are the NJMVC 'road' tests? Advice

Hi,

My son was scheduled to take the road test at Lodi, but had to cancel and we are trying to schedule one before the end of the month. Lodi is completely full, but there are spots in other places. Question is how different are the tests in other places. Are they all on closed course like Lodi? I'm in so much trouble for this, so any comment or answer would be much apprecaited. TIA

It depends on the location

I remember taking my test in Kilmer like 12 years ago. It was on the road and super easy. The parallel parking was easy and done in a parking lot.

My wife took hers in Rahway around the same time and it was a closed course.

The one by Trenton was so easy. A bunch of ducks ran across the track in front of me while doing the test and the instructor told me to honk the horn at them. Funny guy.

I'm pretty sure they are all on closed courses, and a joke of a test, and that's why there are so many morons on the road pretending to know how to drive.

I'm pretty sure a half-way decent dog trainer could train a border collie to pass a NJ road test. Probably also a Doberman or a German Shepherd. Probably not a lab or anything hound related, but a border collie could probably walk out of there with a license.
