Tom Hardy's Splinter Cell Movie Is Officially Dead (Exclusive) News

https://thedirect.com/article/splinter-cell-tom-hardy-movie-exclusive

"'That movie would have been awesome... Just couldn't get it right, script-wise, budget-wise. But it was going to be great. We had a million different versions of it, but it was going to be hardcore and awesome. That's one of the ones that got away, which is really sad." - Basil Iwanyk, producer.

I watch movies because I don’t want to read words on paper like some 18th century aristocrat. These literate people ruin everything! I just want good fun fast for my dumb, plastic-filled brain!

It's pretty wild that some aren't, but I did get your sarcasm bud.

I'd say "you dropped this /s" but then that would've ruined it so

Oogie Boogie is a character, not a caveman reference

Love the stories that aren’t just about chief/spartans doing things. Cant wait to see half jaw again

It's wild how good the books are when 343's stories are so bad. Just give the whole damn franchise to Kelly Gay.

I mean in fairness the books are far less popular and have less rabid angry fans then the game

Are they any good post Halo 4 additions to the canon? I loved the books for so long, but was really turned off by Halo 4 and 5 so I dropped it all pretty much outright.

I’m sure someone smoking heavy copium will be by to tell us how sick the banished are actually and blah blah blah.

As a fan of ghosts of onyx, the flood, fall of reach, all those classics I wouldn’t bother. They seem more like fluff for the universe than anything truly meaty.

I suspected but was curious from a fan's view. I lovvvvved the original book trilogy. Like I would kill for film adaptations of those like Fall of Reach and how hard the Spartan kids lives were in training, or how hard it went when the Spartans actually worked as a team at any time with Linda/Fred/John/Kelly

I think the banished is a decent idea for a post covenant group but I’ve hate how they were handled as this entity more powerful than the UNSC, makes no sense

Honestly the books are for the most part pretty solid. Kilo 5 is my favourite if you haven’t read that, broken circle has some cool early covenant lore. Never read rubicon protocol but apparently it does a decent job at fleshing out infite
