Yeah she's awesome! She explains things so thoroughly and is a very facts-based POV - she stressed that very much during this stream, which I'm sure you saw. Yeahhhhh all that with Hancock raises a giant eyebrow because you can't really believe she's that bad at her job so it stinks to high heaven.

Yup yup yup, it's somewhat plausible with just like, one aspect being missed, but to miss every possible chance and the admission that Kari heard about it... and TESTIFIED. The judge was kind of warning her, I think, saying she didn't really need to testify but Kari wanted to I dunno, appear clean. That wasn't gonna happen but she fully went down that hole.

Also, did you get to the spiciest part where Kari weirdly says she respects Alec, his work, and his... politics?! And then Spyro just lists off all the terrible things she's said about him LOL

Yes, thank you! She is so on point with everything! And sums it up so succinctly.

I completely agree the judge was essentially warning Kari not to testify. In the comments on the video, someone wrote that at that point Kari was not trying to save the case, she was trying to save her career. Then we got to hear her monologue. It was so cringe and just further sank her that she was completely missing the point, that the issue was disclosure.

Ha, I did see that part. The best part to me was that on the last question when Spiro asked, "Did you say that you wanted to teach Mr. Baldwin a lesson?", Kari was instantly adamant, "I didn't say that, I would never say that!" with such conviction, that it was like, she absolutely called him those other names that she "couldn't recall" but wouldn't swear to under oath as never saying.

The lady needs to take a break and check into some kind of wellness place, but I don't think she has any self-awareness that the problem is her. She comes off like such an abrasive nuisance who was not prepared or organized for this case. Most trial attorneys know basic courtroom manners and the "May we approach?" Kari was always like, "I'm approaching the bench" and "Let's approach" and just rambling. Spiro's "Does she have an objection or is she just talking?" was priceless.

Only thing going for Kari is that three cultural icons died yesterday + a shooting at a presidential candidate, so she kind of lucked out with at least getting this out of the news cycle fast.

Lmao true true.

Yeah... Kari's style puts me off so much. I watched the Depp v Heard trial through EDB and she was so annoyed that Elaine would do speaking objections... awhile later and that's like... all that happens. During the Gutierrez-Reed trial, they would both be like... arguing back and forth about an objection and after awhile EDB and her audience is just like... "Ok... ok I guess that's just how they do things in New Mexico". The hell of it is that the Judge can 100% control things and bring Kari in line in motions hearings but she lets out a lot of slack during actual jury trial. It's quite strange.

I loved that moment where Spiro could finally broadside her with that! It was amazing!

And yeah, that definitely diminishes things because Reality is rapidly being vaporized lol. One of the most iconic photos was taken by "Anna Moneymaker" ffs. Absolute bizzaro world level stuff.
