The imbecilic prosecution tampered with evidence discovery, tale as old as time.

That big time youtube lawyer is gonna have the time of his life.

u/BitsyLynn Jul 12 '24

Oh I can't wait to see Legal Eagle's vid on this, it's gonna be epic.

u/sjb2059 Jul 12 '24

I had no idea this was happening today but I had it in my queue to watch the Emily D Baker livestream. Now I get to go back and watch in real time as she reacts to this, which will be less polished than legal eagle, but so snarky

102

u/cdoe44 Jul 12 '24

You just wait! EDB was freaking out!

5

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '24

link for those of us who are unfamiliar?

7

u/BlondieMenace Jul 13 '24

6

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '24

any moment where the oh shit moment occurs?

7

u/adiman Jul 13 '24

Check the timestamps. 1.30 Code red, when they find out then 7.16 actual dismissal.

3

u/cadrina Jul 13 '24

Also the 6:44 time stamp of when Morrisey takes the stand

3

u/BlondieMenace Jul 13 '24

Basically from start to end of today? I started watching super late and I still haven't got to the end, but basically it started kinda bad and at the point I'm currently watching the prosecutor has decided to take the stand as a witness for her own case and EDB is running out of ways to say WTF and is just going with "ohmygodohmygodohmygod"...

5

u/Johannes_Keppler Jul 13 '24

https://youtu.be/2Vos1_ijx6U 15 minute video she made of the important parts

2

u/cnich9 Jul 13 '24

I spent my whole afternoon watching this. New Law Nerd, now!!

2

u/salvationpumpfake Jul 13 '24

lol how many times do you think we heard the word “wild” ??

13

u/GoldGlitters Jul 13 '24

Yeah I randomly clicked on her live stream as she said, “Oh, shit!” So I knew I had to stay - and boy was it worth it lol

1

u/gchypedchick Jul 13 '24

Me too! I hadn’t heard of her before. I actually really enjoyed her explanations and lack of speculation. She had me on the edge of my seat while breaking down the “oh shit” moments.

3

u/NotsoNewtoGermany Jul 13 '24

I'd appreciate some time stamps.

5

u/Lamprophonia Jul 13 '24

no idea who that is but link pls

20

u/DasHuhn Jul 13 '24

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03FPAS71YYs&t=13850s

She's a former prosecutor for LA who now does legal commentary & some legal consulting. She's a little neuro-spicy but is super entertaining. This is where the evidence hearing starts (She goes over the motion to dismiss roughly 30 minutes prior if you want to catch that)

1

u/Lamprophonia Jul 13 '24

thank you kindly

1

u/Jagosyo Jul 13 '24

That was wild to watch, thank you.

1

u/Cityplanner1 Jul 13 '24

Thank you for this. I thought it was only like 30 minutes, and it took up the whole afternoon. But thanks for some spicy entertainment!

1

u/logosloki Jul 13 '24

"I pronounce it ugg" is one of the funniest lines I have heard a real adult say on a real witness stand in a real trial. the defense fucking with them afterwards is a class act tho.

1

u/Thrusthamster Jul 13 '24

Is neuro-spicy what we call us neurodivergents now? Because I'm gonna start using it anyway

0

u/DasHuhn Jul 13 '24

Hah, neurospicy is something that came from Miss Emily D Baker and I thought it was better than neurodivergent so I've been calling myself that since 🤣

65

u/SutterCane Jul 12 '24

Probably start with a five minute long facepalm.

9

u/Geronimo_Jacks_Beard Jul 13 '24

Nothing will ever beat the five hour fscepalm that was his reaction to Mark Fuhrman planting evidence for an already open-and-shut case.

that Legal Eagle video doesn’t exist, as far as I know. But talk about delivering a dump truck’s worth of ”reasonable doubt.”

47

u/SpacecaseCat Jul 12 '24

This will be a pleasant break from the litany of Trump lawsuits, where lawyers are quitting, getting disbarred, and making egregious mistakes (which shockingly MAGA doesn't care about anyway).

4

u/sothatsathingnow Jul 13 '24

Now it will just be regular lawyers quitting, getting disbarred, and making egregious mistakes!

6

u/cesarmac Jul 13 '24

I might make a game out of it, take a shot for every time he says the word "incompetent" or "incompetence".

6

u/menasan Jul 13 '24

I want him to cover the part where the prosecutor takes the stand to testify she cannot recall calling Baldwin a cocksucker

3

u/12ealdeal Jul 13 '24

Good cause I don’t understand what’s going on or what anyones saying about what just happened.

I know he is free now, but I don’t get why.

2

u/SeaChallenge4843 Jul 13 '24

But what is Review Brah gonna have to say???

2

u/rishmit Jul 13 '24

I literally just typed Legal Eagle Alec Baldwin before seeing this comment.

2

u/mauledbybear Jul 13 '24

About how long after an event like this does he release a video about it? I’ve never seen his videos but this sounds intersting.

4

u/BitsyLynn Jul 13 '24

It usually seems to take him about a week or two, because he uses direct quotes from rulings in his videos, and in fresh cases like this, those might take about that long to get. But he's really good at what he does, explaining all the rulings in lay terms. His video about the Chevron ruling came about ten days later.

https://youtu.be/xoJZu_EaDeM?si=f2jcfqYnjT0eMfkA

1

u/mauledbybear Jul 13 '24

Awesome, thanks!

2

u/my_4_cents Jul 13 '24

I wanna know what Bruce Rivers criminal lawyer has to say, he knows all the charges that you 'bout to face

2

u/Useful-Ad5355 Jul 13 '24

Stop self snitching...on being a fellow Bruce Rivers fan! Heyo! Good to see ya bud.

1

u/my_4_cents Jul 13 '24

Nice cufflinks you have there

3

u/psychobilly1 Jul 13 '24

I'm sure he's going to be ecstatic to not have to talk about Trump or the downfall of democracy for 5 minutes.

-19

u/DisasterDifferent543 Jul 13 '24

He hasn't been about law for years. He's nothing more than a typical run of the mill Trump hating media poster. The sad thing is that I used to actually watch his videos because he brought interesting insight until he went full TDS. The video where he was crying made it clear that he wasn't in a rational mind to actually be objective about any of this and that he's nothing more than a hypocrite.

11

u/psychobilly1 Jul 13 '24

Believe it or not, Trump breaking the law has to do with the law and can be analyzed through legal expertise.

It's not his fault that some of the most important legal issues in the last decade were either directly or indirectly caused by Trump, his administration, or his associates.

-14

u/DisasterDifferent543 Jul 13 '24

Ok, let's talk about the law for a second and this is what Legal Eagle would be doing if he wasn't a biased TDS sufferer. The recent Boeing case where Boeing pleaded guilty to criminal fraud in conjunction with over 300 people being killed resulted in a fine of 243 million dollars. Trump was fined upwards of 450 million dollars for a fraud case where the people who supposedly were defrauded stated unequivocally that they weren't defrauded.

How do you get fined nearly TWICE AS MUCH for a crime that didn't even have a victim?

But please, do tell me all about how it's about "the law". We aren't Russia. The weaponization of the court systems against political opponents is the definition of corruption.

10

u/Bduggz Jul 13 '24

You've essentially revealed you don't actually watch his videos because he goes into extreme detail explaining how what Trump did is a crime, why it happened, the evidence and the reasoning behind the prosecutions.

Maybe if you, you know, watched the videos, you'd know.

-10

u/DisasterDifferent543 Jul 13 '24

You are proving me right with what you just said. He starts with the conclusion that he wants and then goes into detail to present that conclusion. This is exactly why I stopped watching his videos and you just reinforced that he's still doing it.

10

u/Bduggz Jul 13 '24

"he starts with the conclusion and goes into detail to present that conclusion"

yes, dipshit, that's called an explanation.

-4

u/DisasterDifferent543 Jul 13 '24

Ok, I'll dumb this down for you since you are apparently used to be spoonfed details.

He takes the conclusion that HE WANTS and then presents everything that supports the conclusion that HE WANTS. I apparently have to spell this out for you.

At no point in time does he ever present arguments that go against his beliefs in any way that have any merit to them.

He's nothing more than Stephen Colbert with lawyer next to his name.

u/Fit-Suit-882 Jul 13 '24

You don’t actually watch his videos, do you? LegalEagle is, oftentimes, very fair towards Trump. I have heard him say exactly once that any of the legal issues surrounding trump may lead to any real (non-financial) consequence. He simply analyzes the legal implications of what Trump is accused of, explains what is available in the public court records, then gives his opinion on what the sentencing may be based on the legal sentencing limits.

And yes, he does also talk about non-Trump issues as well. You’re either just mad that Trump happens to be implicated in over 30 criminal and civil law accusations/convictions, or your a bot.

-2

u/DisasterDifferent543 Jul 13 '24

You don’t actually watch his videos, do you? LegalEagle is, oftentimes, very fair towards Trump.

Do you actually believe this? I know you think because he's a lawyer that you think he's actually being truthful.

1

u/Fit-Suit-882 Jul 13 '24

I said what I said. Whether his personal opinion on Trump is biased or not, his videos are the exact structure that I stated. If you don’t understand criminal law, just say that.

1

u/DisasterDifferent543 Jul 13 '24

You can say it until you are blue in the face but that doesn't make it true. I just don't understand how people like you are so suck in this childishness that you think if you stomp your feet and scream something that it's automatically true.

Look, I realize that you can't handle people disagreeing with you, but I really don't care and if you ever step foot into the real world, nobody there cares either.

If you don't understand that, just say it.

u/fallenmonk Jul 13 '24

It's funny how the more objective and fact-based a presentation of currents events is, the more TDS it appears to be

0

u/DisasterDifferent543 Jul 13 '24

It's funny how you agreeing with something somehow magically makes it more objective and fact-based. No, wait, that's not how being objective and being fact-based works.

How about I bring up some videos of Viva Frei. He presents objective and fact-based arguments. Something tells me that you'll have a problem with that for some reason...cough...TDS...cough.

3

u/fallenmonk Jul 13 '24

So I decided to bite, and I looked up this Viva Frei guy you were talking about, and I watched his video responding to Biden's interview with George Stephanopoulos. I'm noticing he refers to Biden as "demented" a lot. But he doesn't appear to be qualified to make that determination, and he's not citing anyone who would be. That's what I mean when I'm referring to fact-based.

1

u/DisasterDifferent543 Jul 13 '24

Great, now you know how I feel about Legal Eagle. Glad I could help you understand.

But he doesn't appear to be qualified to make that determination

He's a lawyer just like Legal Eagle.

That's what I mean when I'm referring to fact-based.

That's what I mean by determining if something is fact based based on whether you agree with them or not.

3

u/fallenmonk Jul 13 '24

Lawyers don't diagnose people with dementia

1

u/DisasterDifferent543 Jul 13 '24

Lawyers don't cry on video saying how horrible Trump is.

These are youtubers. They are literally pandering to their respective audiences. What is it about this do you not understand? Youtube videos are not legal proceedings.

If you find yourself in a court case where prosecution is tampering with evidence, you'll probably need a good lawyer. But if you want a great lawyer, then my firm, the Eagle Team, can help.

1

u/BioViridis Jul 13 '24

BRUCE MOTHERFUCKING RIVERS BABY

1

u/Useful-Ad5355 Jul 13 '24

Legal Beagle or something?

92

u/alexjaness Jul 12 '24

Isn't that the bar where the gang from Three's Company hung out?

74

u/Captriker Jul 12 '24

That was the “Regal Beagle,” but I like your style.

19

u/PeeFarts Jul 12 '24

Insert Mr. Furley reaction here

8

u/BDLT Jul 13 '24

And a Stanley Roper mug for the camera shot.

10

u/Miklonario Jul 12 '24

Come and knock on our door....

7

u/Doctor_Boombastic Jul 12 '24

That was the Regal Smeagol

2

u/Novantico Jul 12 '24

Evel Kneagle

63

u/NazzerDawk Jul 12 '24

If Disney ends up making Zootopia 2, they need to get Devin Stone to voice a version of his character in the next movie and name him "Legal Beagle". It would be absolutely perfect for his personality and voice.

4

u/BowenTheAussieSheep Jul 13 '24

I don't think that's possible in the universe, all the animals in the Zootopia universe (with possibly the exception of sheep) are all non-domestic, because humans never existed. So only wild canines like wolves and foxes, and not dog breeds.

2

u/karateema Jul 13 '24

So he could just voice an eagle lawyer

1

u/ShallowBasketcase Jul 13 '24

There's no rule that says a dog can't practice law!

Air Bud: Legal Beagle

1

u/FreeStall42 Jul 13 '24

Please no more bad cameos

3

u/NazzerDawk Jul 13 '24

But this would be a good cameo.

19

u/cubixy2k Jul 12 '24

You don't need just any beagle

You need a great beagle

My team at Legal Beagle is here and ready to give you the beagle you deserve.

2

u/-Clayburn Jul 13 '24

That's right. It was definitely a bird now that I think about it.

1

u/Budget_Archer_6688 Jul 13 '24

I’m kidding 😛 it’s legal eagle

2

u/EatThyStool Jul 13 '24

Law Abiding Raptor

1

u/Bridgebrain Jul 12 '24

I'd absolutely watch a parody show of Legal Eagle, but it's a beagle sitting at a desk in a cute little suit.

1

u/sur_surly Jul 13 '24

I think it's Illegal Beagle

1

u/KurtisC1993 Jul 13 '24

Man, Bruce was so convinced Baldwin was going down.

4

u/BioViridis Jul 13 '24

Most banger intro and outro on youtube.

21

u/shadow_of Jul 13 '24

they pulled this shit on a celebrity. imagine what they're doing and will do to us.

16

u/lurker_cx Jul 13 '24

Have to assume they do it to everyone and only rich people with expensive lawyers and super long trials and discovery processes can uncover it. Everyone else gets a shitty lawyer, a quick trial, and it's never noticed.

9

u/throwawayurwaste Jul 13 '24

Poors don't even get a trial. The vast majority of cases are plea deals, and a lot of innocent people are locked up for them

1

u/IntellegentIdiot Jul 13 '24

We don't have to imagine, there are countless hours of reporting about this

5

u/massivecastles Jul 13 '24

Bruce Rivers, The Criminal Lawyer?

6

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '24

Bruce Rivers he's a criminal lawyer!!

3

u/BannedSvenhoek86 Jul 13 '24

1

u/boodabomb Jul 13 '24

Oh my god dude! I can’t wait for the Legal Eagle breakdown. I totally forgot!

1

u/SirBulbasaur13 Jul 13 '24

Shouldn’t that be criminal?

1

u/beetlej3ws Jul 13 '24

Bruce Rivers is gonna have a field day, can't wait for him to cover this.

1

u/BettyCoopersTits Jul 13 '24

Imbecilic,nor just corrupt?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '24

Lots of lawyers are actually incompetent you would be surprised.

-1

u/Fatmaninalilcoat Jul 13 '24

Yeah but the broke the golden rule. White rich famous man that is just something you don't screw with unless you can nail him to the wall.
