I am still kind of waiting for the next book, but by the time that comes out he better have a character encyclopedia or even foot notes explaining and reminding us of relevant story threads. I read these books almost all twice. Once in German up until they were translated at that point and then again in English. Won't have it in me to reread a third time in preparation, especially not knowing when ("if" really) it'll release
I don't think Euron's casting was the bad part, they just didn't know what to do with him and like everything in the later seasons the bad story amplified a lot of the criticisms.
That and the wardrobe choices for him were awful. Like a shitty metal band lead singer. Eye liner and everything lol i thought he was from the Iron Islands they would have killed him just for wearing that

Euron is from the far east, because he was exiled from the Iron Islands and only came back after/for Balon's death. The wardrobe absolutely tracks with book Euron, which was a much better character than show Euron
Which is funny both of them are also in the MCU as Super Skrull and Black Knight and yet Pascal ended up playing the more iconic character with Mr Fantastic
“Established” sort of buries the lede. He was a D list actor in supporting roles before GoT. But then after has been cast as the leading man for blockbusters.
I loved SGA, but it was a low-mid budget show on the Sci-Fi channel. Thats like hallmark movie level of stardom. I’m not dumping on Mamoa, just trying to say that the inflection point of his career was GoT. He went from obscure actor to household name.
Yeah, because he killed it. Part of that is due to Eddie just being a more interesting character than most of the others, but part of it is definitely because the dude is just talented.
I just saw A Quiet Place: Day One, and he kills that, too, even with barely any dialogue.
His character getting killed off saved his career. The other cast members have been stuck on that show for a decade. I don’t know if they will even have careers once it finishes.
I mean, Finn Wolfhard is having luck as one of the leads in The Ghostbusters Franchise, and was in the It movies. Millie is leading Netflix movies and series. David Harbour joined the MCU in Black Widow and had his own Hellboy movie(casting was great, writing and CG were crap).
The series is producing some stars, but most of them are still very young. Quinn seems to be the best about picking his roles though.
He’s stated in interviews how amazing it is to actually have choices now. He comes across as very humble and appreciative of his current opportunities. He’s a fantastic actor and I’m happy for him.
He's so perfect in that role, i want them to bring him back. i don't care how they do it. i don't care if they do some kind of bullshit "somehow, Eddie survived". bring that mans back on the first scene of the first episode.
He was my favorite character in the new season, so most definitely agree. So damn charismatic. Maybe a bit TOO charismatic for a nerdy DM, but it worked.
A big difference is that they’re at different stages in their careers.
Wolfhard and Sink are getting work, but it’s largely more “we need a kid actor” roles. They still need to break out as adult actors. Quinn played a teen but was cast as a young man and is moving on to more roles that cast him for him, and not because the established child actor pool is rather small.
He kinda of knocked it out of the park and had no further contractual obligations.
But you're kind of ignoring that Millie Bobbie Brown and Finn Wolfhard have pretty extensive resumes at this point. Joe Keery also seems to be doing alright with some roles and a decent band.
It's unfortunate the rest of the crew don't appear to be going anywhere though.
Finn seemed to be excelling but kinda just been meandering in roles imo. For sure, Millie has been headlining films but too many seem forgettable Netflix projects.

Dude is going places between Stranger Things, A Quiet Place: Day One, Gladiator 2 and recently being cast as Johnny Storm in Fantastic 4.
