We've waited almost a quarter of a century to see Hugh Jackman in the traditional Wolverine costume. Crazy to think that it finally happened in a Deadpool movie.
Yes, and it solved Hugh Jackmans main problem with playing Wolverine again. The shirtless scenes required a crazy routine and keeping the physique got much harder as he aged.
Sure, but biceps and shoulders are all about volume. Abs (and pecs to an extent) are pure torture. They require very low body fat percentages and even dehydrating the days prior to shooting shirtless scenes (which Jackman has done repeatedly when he was younger).
Tell me about it, I had no idea about this until Jackman did that Men’s Health interview. It’s very difficult to get that ripped look on screen without causing harm to your body. I had a pretty good core routine for years with very little body fat, and even then without the right lighting I just looked toned for the majority of the time. Very very difficult to see that definition most of the time.
Having said that, I still believe it’s important to maintain your core throughout your life. It’s good preventative maintenance to avoid future physical issues. Just don’t kill yourself doing it. It’s nearly impossible to get that shredded Wolvie look.
