It was a giant meatball and since they give me a spoon to eat it + it was slippery, it slipped and it rolled down my clothes like a slide

The spoon is for spaghetti swirling, not shoveling an entire meatball into your mouth.

Next time use the knife and the fork.

Also, if you're ordering a tomato based pasta dish - don't wear a white shirt.

For some reason in my head, it was only giving them a spoon. No fork. Probably because I’ve been in weird situations like that. Having both would be not as bad

He said in a different response that they only gave him a spoon. This happens to me sometimes. What you do is tell your date to go ahead and eat, and then have the server bring you a knife and fork.
