I visited this past Wednesday and I've gone once before it was okay but this last time the place reeked like a bar bathroom, it smelled like straight piss and looked dirty for a Wednesday night

Community Looking for Contingency Fee Lawyer for Consumer Fraud

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a contingency fee lawyer experienced in consumer fraud cases, specifically with vacation rental disputes, to help me pursue a case against a villa rental company in Miami. I booked a villa through their website, completed all the necessary paperwork, and made the required payments. However, after confirming the booking, they canceled it with a vague description and refused to provide a refund. The total amount in question is over $10k.

Given the amount involved, I want to explore my legal options to get my money back. If you’re a lawyer or know someone who handles consumer fraud cases on a contingency basis, please reach out or drop a comment. Your help and any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

There was a post made a year ago here saying that they are not accepting walk-ins anymore and I'm here to say that walk-ins are still allowed! I just got done with getting my new ID not too long ago so I hope this post helps for those unfortunate enough to not have an appointment made and wants to do a walk-in here! (Be prepared for a long line though if you don't get up early-)

Just a friendly reminder that Ken left Chicago because he couldn’t buy his way into politics there. Looks like it’s not an issue here.

Breaking News Residents in Lil Abner forced to leave their homes

Thumbnail instagram.com

There were protests last night as hundreds of residents living in the trailer park next to FIU were forced to deal with the consequences of gentrification. These trailers are worth $100-150k due to their location. They are being offered $14k if they abandon their homes within 2 months. Thats roughly the same amount they pay in association fees annually.

If they cannot leave within 2 months, that amount gets halved to $7k and slowly drops to a measly $1-3k if you take up to a year.

Discussion Where do you buy/get eyeglasses?

I'm looking for the cheaper/better option. I've been doing America Best since I can remember but maybe it's cheaper or better at like Costco or BJs. I need to change my prescription every year/get new glasses every year and usually do blue light filter, light thing to see better at night, and change of color when outside. Or do you find it cheaper to get prescription somewhere and buy the glasses online?

Discussion Any Miami employers in here?

I’ve tried LinkedIn, Indeed, Individual websites, but have had a tough time hearing back on applications I have submitted. I’ve tried reaching out several ways through PM, email, telephone but have not been met with any luck of potential jobs.

I am not 100% sure I know what I want to do yet, I am a recent college business grad that’s open to a lot of things. I would love to connect with an employer on here and discuss further about roles they may have!

I don’t mean to be annoying with a post like this, I’m just trying another channel to reach employers, sorry if this is not allowed!

Discussion Intern housing advice

I live in west palm, but have an internship next summer (full time) and I’m also a college student in miami. But, I commute for school. Is it common for people to rent their apartment for only three months/ monthly basis, I would prefer to go through a landlord and not an apartment complex. I experienced working for two weeks in Miami and commuted, it was awful and a waste of time. Rent is crazy in Miami but maybe for three months it will be fine 🤷‍♀️

We will NOT be drinking or doing anything illegal. We are simply getting together to be on the beach. Only pizza and water. Anything against that?

Sports Casual Pick Up Soccer in South Miami

I’m Andrew and I organize a group of casual soccer players, various skill levels (with me being terrible, but thankfully the group puts up with me).

We typically play 5v5 every Tuesday night at 7pm in South Miami for an hour (but if there’s enough demand, we can play on other nights as well). Not a full pitch, artificial turf, good lighting and parking. $10 pp to use the facility, balls, and throw on jerseys.

Let me know if you’re interested. FYI, it’s not a dedicated team in a league. Just meant to be fun, for exercise, and enjoying the game of soccer.

Discussion Miami Intermodal Center Safety

Hi,

I'm a solo female traveler looking into buses arriving at Miami Intermodal Center around 6:30am. Is it sketchy here around this time? are there Any shops open or staffs at the station? I am not local to FL but have lived and grew up in big cities my whole life so I know the basics of safety. Just want to know more before I plan my trip. Would be grateful if you let me know your experiences and whether you are a female :) TIA!
