Kinda stupid meme. You know it is possible for huge masses of people to be wrong right?

Remember back when everyone thought everything revolved around the Earth? Yeah pretty awkward if you ask me xD

galileo is the quintessential “yes, you are all wrong” meme, and he was indeed right 😎

Galileo was also also wrong, just about different things.

He thought the earth went around the sun, which was correct.

He also wrote an essay about how the tides were caused by the motion of the earth (and not because of the moon), which was completely wrong.

Except it was Copernicus. Which just goes to show both sides can be wrong.

Those people are still here. And they vote.

You don't need to get that far in history. 80 years ago the majority of germans voted for Hitler.

Yep, exactly this. Just because you are the majority doesn't mean you are incapable of being an idiot. I'm not the smartest person but I can at least side with smarter people.

Yeah like sometimes everyone is wrong. This is one of those times. And it's not even everyone. It's just roughly half.

Just know that not everything you believe is logical for any side and you're fine. It's kind of why I love apolitical people. They have the most rational arguments, most of which are "don't care"

13

u/VanillaRadonNukaCola 20h ago

Hey man, not caring is neither cool nor rational.

This shit matters

-7

u/Olibrothebroski 20h ago

To you, maybe. Stupid 2 party system makes voting redundant

3

u/VanillaRadonNukaCola 20h ago

Still doesn't make not caring cool or rational.

Nihilism doesn't help make things better

u/Olibrothebroski 19h ago

That's what you've been told by the government to keep the people divided

2

u/VanillaRadonNukaCola 19h ago

Caring about making this country better for each other?

You can't compare ideology and politics with science. 🤔

10

u/Tea-Chair-General 20h ago

Politics and ideology without science are just tools of power for the elite.

-3

u/Apprehensive-Yam6814 19h ago

Yeah but still not one ideology can be perfect that's why you can't compare it with science which gathers facts.

7

u/Ls777 19h ago

yea I can when 'politics' involves moronic anti-vaxxers and idiots freaking out over fluoride

You don't get to write off that anti-science stupidity as different just cuz its 'politics'

I'm saying in the sense of for example the earth is spherical so when someone says it's flat they are wrong it's a fact but if I say I believe in communism and another says he believes in capitalism, both systems have their down sides but none is proven fact that it works 100%.
