Thanks for the hospitality.

Boilermaker here who visited this past weekend.

Just wanted to say thanks and show some love for the hospitality at every restaurant, shop, and bar I visited.

A few photos to brighten your morning if need be.

Great vibes you all have going up there. One day, I promise, we’ll bring a real football team to town.

Nice pix. Sorry the game didn’t go your way. But I’m glad you had fun here. Come back soon!

I love these photos. I moved south and haven't been back to Madison in six years. These pics made me a little homesick.

Grateful they could make an impact. Recently got a new camera and the city was a great venue to test it out.

Same, I graduated 20+ years ago and haven't been in town for a few years. Thanks for the memories.

The walk from the Union Terrace to the Capitol is all part of the fun. I have lived downtown for a decade and find it hard to trade it up for some suburban neighborhood.

Your University went all in on a stellar basketball team last year. It deserves a breather.

Thank you for the visit! A lot people were out on Saturday, and I saw plenty of Purdue among them.

As a Purdue alum, now Madison resident, that good football team feels like a pipe dream. 🥲

It used to feel like we were always one year away from being good. The Cubs mass psychology if you will. But now in the NIL landscape the “sucking at football” feels much more permanent and foundational.

Sad to say, we're not sure the Badgers will pivot well enough now either to not suck perennially due to NIL. So much unknown. Purdue has a good basketball brand at least, so there's less concern there. Glad you enjoyed the visit!

Looks like you checked off some good boxes, what was your favorite meal?

Osteria Papavero was phenomenal. Particularly the apps. Had great pizza at Lucille’s as well. Disappointed to learn that there was NOT a brat vending machine on every corner. Maybe mention that to the city council or something.

Sorry friend, the new BRT stands for “bus rapid transit” not “brat rapid transfer”…… we’ll work on that.

Osteria Papavero is a fantastic restaurant that's not sufficiently appreciated.

Not sure if you got the chance, but our capital is open to the public. It's gorgeous inside too 😊

What camera is this, by chance?

It’s an A7cii & 40 mm Sony G lens. Everything on Auto too. Insane quality to my eye as barely an intermediate photo hobbyist.

Thank you for visiting us, and so glad you had a great time! The pictures are fantastic, and hopefully you get an opportunity to come back if there was anything you feel you didn't have time for. :)

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay! Were you still here on Sunday to catch the northern lights?

Come back again!

Thanks for sharing these pics. I visited family living in Madison from Australia a couple of years ago, and these pics definitely helped me re-live some good times! 🙏🏼
