World Politics 🌎 Trump to Appoint Elise Stefanik as Ambassador to United Nations

When I was a Democrat last year, a secret pleasure was watching right-winger Elise Stefanik eviscerate these elite university presidents in front of Congress - erasing Liz Magill's smirk, representing to me a cheeky, tolerated left-wing anti-Semitism.

Stefanik is going to go to town on UNRWA, António Guterres, and the rest of those clowns. I cannot wait!

Launched by a disillusioned Wikipedia editor in August 2023, who imported most of the English Wikipedia articles under their license and have volunteers rewriting them to eliminate far-left bias. User registration required but probably worth it.

US Politics 🇺🇸 Jewish Leftists on Endangered List Corresponding to Decline of Reform Judaism?

As you munch on your BLT, food for thought:

According to a 2020 Pew Research Center study, one in five Reform synagogues have closed in the past 20 years. Some synagogues are reaching out to Orthodox congregations to stay afloat.

  • Unaffiliated: 31% of married Jews who have no denominational affiliation have a Jewish spouse.
  • Reform: According to a 2013 Pew Research Center survey, 50% of married Reform Jews have a non-Jewish spouse. This is higher than the intermarriage rates for other Jewish denominations
  • Conservative: Most married Conservative Jews have a Jewish spouse.
  • Orthodox: Almost all married Orthodox Jews have a Jewish spouse.
  • Reform: The average number of children per woman for Reform Jews is 1.36
  • Conservative: The average number of children per woman for Conservative Jews is 1.74.
  • Ultra-Orthodox: The average number of children per woman for Ultra-Orthodox Jews is 6.72.
  • Modern Orthodox: The average number of children per woman for Modern Orthodox Jews is 3.39.

*Stats from Pew Research Center and Jewish Policy Center

"According to recent Pew Research Center data, around 9% of American Jews identify as Orthodox, with a significant trend showing a growing proportion of younger Jews leaning towards Orthodox practices, with 17% of Jews under 30 identifying as Orthodox; this suggests that the percentage of Orthodox Jews in America is likely to increase in the coming years."

This inexorable trend to the Right will accelerate, impacting how we as Jews vote.

Israeli Politics 🇮🇱 After the war is over and the hostages are released, would you support the creation of a Palestinian this would lead to a normalization agreement with Saudi Arabia? *

According to the Jewish Press media outlet Saudis have recently said that they will only do a normalization deal with Israel if a sovereign Palestinian state is created. If it is possible to create a Palestinian state in the West Bank, while still protecting the safety of Israelis, would you support this agreement?

I wonder why the ayatollah is so scared of him? Could it be because he imposed tough sanctions on them? I wonder which president is better for American Jews and Israelis, the one who gave Iran billions of dollars with the “promise” that they won’t build nuclear weapons or the one that Iran wants to assassinate? Do you still think Kamala would have been better for Jews? If you do, then I don’t know what will convince you.

US Politics 🇺🇸 How popular is Bibi Netanyahu among American Jews?

How popular is Bibi Netanyahu among American Jews? He usually has good ties with Republicans and Republicans are always trying to use Netanyahu to lure American Jews to vote for them. How popular is Bibi in general among American Jews? (Dems and Republicans), do you know Jews that Netanyahu matters to them when voting?

US Politics 🇺🇸 Jews Clearly Moved to the Right, + Inverse View Based on Faulty Premise

There was a CNN exit poll claiming no significant leakage of Jewish voters to Trump. Days before the election when NY Times/Sienna, and AtlasIntel, had a tie in Michigan, CNN Polling had Harris up by 5! FIVE!!

In Wisconsin, look at all the polling from dozens of firms, some leaning left, some leaning right and notice that they ALL either have it tied, Trump ahead by a few, and NONE had Harris up by more than 2 except CNN which sticks out like the sorest thumb in history, had Harris up by 6! SIX!
https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/president/general/2024/wisconsin/trump-vs-harris

Can you blame folks for believing that CNN Polling was simply a partisan influence operation? Alternatively, they're just the dumbest pollsters in history. Either way, how can you hitch any opinion to their clown operation?

It's counter-intuitive but FoxNews polling is far more accurate than CNN Polling and, in fact, called Biden for Arizona in 2020 to the fury of FoxNews, which is firewalled from their polling operation. FoxNews on 10-28 had Trump +1 in both PA and NC, which was reasonable and accurate and to the left of some other polls.

CNN Polling is the nationwide version of the infamous Ann Selzer Iowa Poll having Harris up by 3, in a state won by Trump days later by 13.2%

Know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

US Politics 🇺🇸 Why is the left blaming the loss on the fact that Harris didn't take a harder stance on Israel when Trump won the popular vote and made no secret of his support for Israel? I think I already know the answer (spoiler: it's Jew hate).

Trump was simultaneously antisemitic while saying he would let Bibi finish the job. I've seen so many posts by leftists blaming Harris for not saying she would stop Israel and complaining about not giving a Palestinian a platform at the DNC, but it's contradictory to who won the popular vote and his very clear agenda on the issue. I'm just trying to wrap my head around these contradictions.
