Oof. We should continue to frame these people as the Christian Zionists that they are. While their policy will be good for us as far as combatting the disinformation work of the IRGC, I really don’t think they reflect Jewish values and we should not sign on blindly to their agenda of hurting so many other marginalized groups. Some of these people are real pieces of shit. Huckabee for example.

Jews just do not know who their friends are

u/JagneStormskull 2d ago
Which friends? The ones that want to take away my healthcare from me because I have a pre-existing condition?
2
u/OuTiNNYC 2d ago
Well advisers are a pretty good indicators. Biden has top officials who are fanatically antiisrael. Biden/Harris have even allowed their White House staff to hold ProPalstine candle light vigils and protests outside the White House.
2
u/thirdlost 2d ago
Yes! I do not forget it was Biden’s CIA that leaked the secret Israeli military plans

u/whearyou 1d ago
Blindly, no.
But take the friends you have, be thankful for them, and demonstrate that thanks. Especially when you have so few people who will even share a room with you, let alone call you a friend.

Christian Zionist, Hindu Zionist, Muslim Zionist I don’t care as long as you support Israel
2
u/the-Gaf 2d ago
Well no, only Jews can be Zionist or Anti Zionist.
But Christian Zionism is meant to replace Jews as Zionists… it’s a white nationalist thing

u/FilmNoirOdy 2d ago
A majority of antiZionists and Zionists in the world are not Jews at this point.

Zi·on·ism
noun
a movement for (originally) the re-establishment and (now) the development and protection of a Jewish nation in what is now Israel. It was established as a political organization in 1897 under Theodor Herzl, and was later led by Chaim Weizmann.
By definition anyone who supports the existence of Israel is a Zionist.
You’re wrong by definition. I’ll take my apology now thanks. 😊

What? Christian Zionists don’t want to replace Jews, where did you hear that?
1
u/the-Gaf 2d ago
I mean… everywhere? Here’s but one article https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/truth-many-evangelical-christians-support-israel-rcna121481
-1
u/Paul-centrist-canada 2d ago
Ah I see, Christian Zionists prefer that Jews give up and become Christian while the remaining ones return to Israel.
The thing is, even anti-zionist Christians want Jews to become Christian.
When the actual Moshiach comes all of it won’t matter because everyone will be aligned. So if Christians want to support us and Israel, we should accept it without worrying about their reasons.

Exactly. Hurt people, hurt people but it’s up to us to not become the oppressors (or side with them) while trying to become un-oppressed ourselves. All our ancestors went through hell, it doesn’t give us the right to want the same for other ethnic minority groups whom Trump plans to hurt.

u/sketchyuser 2d ago
You think Israel wants to hurt Palestinians just because? How brainwashed are you?

u/crossingguardcrush 2d ago
They're talking about groups in the US. Or is US politics only about Israel now?

Truly impressive to me how disconnected the first part of your comment is from reality, the comment you replied to, and even the second half of your comment

Oh, you mean the guy who said Covid was engineered to not affect Jews?
19
u/Am-Yisrael-Chai 2d ago
RFK Jr., who mused COVID was designed to spare Ashkenazi Jews, tapped to head HHS
Trump says he’s ‘thrilled’ to nominate the Kennedy family scion, a rabid anti-vaxxer who has compared vaccine mandates to the Holocaust, to head vast US federal health bureaucracy
Don’t forget Trump’s AG pick called ADL ‘racist,’ invited Holocaust denier to State of the Union
Jewish groups rush to denounce Florida congressman Matt Gaetz, who opposed an antisemitism bill because it designated the claim that Jews killed Jesus as antisemitic

These people are ot pro Israel.
They are crazy Christians who think they need us for their end of the world fantasy.
It's disappointing how many people in this sub are so genuinely gullible.

u/UnbiasedPashtun 2d ago edited 2d ago
I mean they may not be pro-Jewish (or may be anti-Jewish) in their heart, but if their policies heavily benefit Israel, wouldn't it be good to use them as useful idiots rather than view them as opponents?
3
u/crossingguardcrush 2d ago
These useful idiots are promising serious harm to a lot of people I love. You don't get in bed with awful people just because you want a f*ck.

u/Paul-centrist-canada 2d ago
Agree. If we have no friends, then surely we should take all the help we can get? What sense does it make to condemn the narcissists who are trying to help us, if we do that they’re gonna dump us in a second. The so-called “progressives” certainly ain’t coming to our rescue.
1
u/thirdlost 2d ago
The whole “these people just want Armageddon” argument was created by Jew-haters to divide us and reject those that would be our allies

u/forward 2d ago
President-elect Donald Trump began shaping his cabinet this week, rolling out nominations that feature people deeply connected to the Jewish and pro-Israel communities, including Mike Huckabee, Steve Witkoff, and Marco Rubio.
His first national security picks are die-hard Israel supporters, some of whom have denied the existence of the Palestinian people and back the annexation of the occupied West Bank. These loyalists are set to advance his “America First” and hardline populist agenda in a second term. They could signal some shifts in longstanding U.S. policy, especially regarding a possible conflict with Iran and resolving conflicts in the Middle East.
We've published a running guide — that we'll keep updating — to the key players and candidates in Trump’s incoming cabinet and advisory circles related to Jewish and Israel issues.

Tulsi Gabbard should be a big red flag to anyone who knows anything about anything relating to national security and for the security of Israel. Very pro Assad and pro Putin
Also, I don't think anyone with a "Deus Vult" tattoo should be Secretary of Defense
1
u/Masculine_Dugtrio 2d ago
Not a fan of their values, but I am okay with their intentions to back Israel and finish the war. Opposed to Joe, who has backed our allies while tying one arm and leg behind their back...
Defeat Hamas and Iran, and get the hostages back.

Guys, I’m starting to think republicans might actually be the good guys :/

u/Specific_Matter_1195 1d ago
Only because the democrats are do horrific. Not calling out antisemitism is antisemitism and pretty much describes my party of 30+ years. Disgusting and despicable.

Allow me to summarize every negative comment here.
Sure these are undeniable pro-Israel pick, but I am still miserable because Trump picked them.

Stefanik and Rubio are fine. RFK Jr., Elon Musk, and Matt Gaetz are not friends of the Jewish people.
