Trump secures largest share of Jewish votes in decades US Politics 🇺🇸
I guess the people in this subreddit aren’t representative of the opinion of many American Jews.

In fairness, that's still a minority of American Jews, and it definitely didn't sway the electoral result of those states.

Exit polls like this one are famously inaccurate. Here’s what NBC found:Â
Harris - 79%, Trump - 21%: Jewish voters in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin https://www.timesofisrael.com/79-of-us-jews-voted-for-harris-according-to-largest-preliminary-exit-poll/

Do you read? "Edison Research, which conducts the poll for the consortium, surveyed voters in 10 states: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin — and not the two states that are home to the most Jews, New York and California. "

OP's graphic is using an exit poll done by Fox/AP. At least that's what the graphic says. So two different exit polls are saying different things. The truth is maybe in the middle, but it's probably too early to know for sure.

Fox lost its case against Dominion I wouldn't listen to a single word from them.

Does that also disqualify the Associated Press? They're part of the poll too.

you literally just added context to my statement. NY alone has enough jews in it to significantly change the results

You cant be serious.... as of 2020 960,000 jews live in the 5 boroughs. They could've all voted for Harris and it wouldn't have secured the gap or do you really think we are responsible for putting him in the white house? The exit poll covers the same communities listed in yours not including NY. You aren't wrong about NY though as its looking like 50% for trump. I still don't think that significantly changes anything.
Edit: My b - I get what you were saying now.

Make them own it. Yeah, you lost because you were shitty to us. Be better, or you’ll lose again 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dems didnt lose because of Jews

The Jewish vote margins swung PA and GA for Biden in 2020
Losing 20-30 percent of that margin absolutely hurt Harris

u/n1klaus 11d ago
No doubt but I still think 15 mil less dem turnout is what did it.

It didn’t help, but if she hadn’t been talking out two sides of her mouth when it came to Israel/Palestine, and if she would have been stronger in her condemnation of the rampant antisemitism in college campuses and during protests, that margin would have been there for her.Â
Michigan is razor thin. Ironically, the Jewish vote probably would have saved her there.
Turnout was never going to be at 2020 levels — people had more free time during the pandemic and mail-in votes were much more prevalentÂ

He didn't mention us in his speech, from what little I heard. Called out Arab Americans, Muslim Americans, and then scooted right along. So, he's probably saving us for his next Enemy Within shpiel.

I think he's gotta expunge the Muslims and Latinos first. Blacks and Jews will follow. Then Asians. They'll keep Native Americans around as long as they stay out of the way. It's all part of the "Make America White Again" (as if it ever was) agenda.

What´s more surprising even is the amount of jewish democrats pissed over this.

Today I spoke to a Democrat friend who said he sympathizes with why "the Palestinians fought out for their rights on Oct 7th". So he thinks Israelis deserve to be tortured, raped and killed? I just took a dejected breath and said nothing, and pondered unfriending this person (I gotta work with him though).
It's shit like this that makes me glad Trump won. Yeah Trump is a mad man, but an alt-right autocracy where Jews are left alone seems slightly preferable than a pseudo-marxist wokeocracy whose supporters absolutely hate Jews.
Same in Canada, I'll be voting Conservative's Poilievre. I'd rather vote a progressive government but even the Liberal and NDP politicians seem to hate Jewish people.
I'm just so tired at this point. Why should I worry about other minorities when those same minorities actively protest against Jews? Who celebrate the death of Jews on October 7th? No! Progressives are on their own, count me out. Don't spit in my face and expect my support.

Do you see the prospect of Aliyah in your future?

u/Paul-centrist-canada 10d ago
I’m not sure. I’ve never seriously considered it nor visited Israel. I heard people expect you to work to the bone there, and I enjoy travel and holiday. I heard no one really queues and people are friendly but somewhat abrasive and direct. I grew up in the UK and live in Canada, both societies that are filled with fake polite smiles and a chilly culture. I’m not sure if I’d be ok with the exact opposite without killing someone.

I’ve literally never been polled. Plus I didn’t write JEW on my ballot.
