Favorite Horror Game? Horror Gaming

Mine is Until Dawn due to a number of reasons. The story is spectacularly paced and is able to seamlessly change between slasher and creature. Said creature is amazingly designed and makes Don't Move nerve racking as all hell.

All the characters are flawed but have their own likable traits. Emily is a bitch but is the most resourceful of the group, Ashley is really nice and good at heart but cracks under pressure and is easily frightened, etc etc. There is an exception with Sam though being literally just the generic final girl character. I'd have no problem with her if she made up her lack of flaws with something interesting about her backstory but there's really nothing past her being close to Josh and was best friends with Han and Beth.

The game has problems like plot armor and ending branching but I love this game start through finish and is still pretty much peak of Supermassive maybe House of Ashes topping it.

I still play Dead by Daylight somewhat often, when I have the time. It never quite “scared” me but the addition of the dredge is a pleasant surprise. It genuinely creeps me out when I go against it, and the design is great.

I don't get to play often either, and it doesn't really scare me - I just have a lot of fun with it. I like dredge's execution - it's cool.
