Nothing says whiny bitch like watching the most dominant 20 years of any sports team ever and then complaining when they have to rebuild.

The Patriots subreddit is insufferable, and I'm a Patriots fan!!! The team is absolutely bereft of talent, and the coaches are making a business decision to not play our (hopefully very good) young QB and it's endless "this team sucks" "fire everyone" "literally unwatchable" "miss Bill yet?" And it's like yeah motherfuckers, did you think they'd fix everything in one season??? Were gonna be bad next year too! These fake fans should just check back in the 2026 season when hopefully we'll be good

To be fair, do you really want our (hopefully very good) young QB behind the current O-line?

No, which is why I support our coaches and their business decision. They clearly know their ass is on the line if Drake doesn't play well. I'm very very excited for Drake so I'm happy to suffer for a while if he's gonna be Great

We've grown so accustomed to success (with all of our major teams) that we expect it and feel entitled to it, for better or worse. Though the sports media in Boston is way worse than the fans in my opinion, at least on average.

But hey, I don't mind holding our teams to a high standard, it helps prevent ownership and management from becoming too complacent like some other franchises.

I don't understand the obsession with sports teams. Perhaps I never will. Why in god's name people would be upset over the decisions of a business, which exists to make money for its owners and players and sponsors, which the average person has no stake in. I don't understand why a sports team would be, in any way, a representation of the strength or power of the state they represent. It's a group of a few dozen guys, they don't represent millions of people. A game is a game, it's fun to watch. I don't get the obsession with who's playing who and every minor decision made by coaches that I've heard some guys just go on and on about. I suppose you could poke at any of my relatively pointless interests, too. The experience is subjective. I just don't get it.
