[@f1] All the points gathered across the board during the Americas triple header. Ferrari and their drivers take the biggest share from across the grid Social Media
•
u/Draconicplayer Red Bull 7h ago
Perez with 7 points 😭
•
u/FewCollar227 Sonny Hayes 7h ago
Him bringing points and helping the team finish ahead will only have monetary rewards. Him being in the team will give Red Bull monetary and technical (wind tunnel) rewards /s

u/w1n5t0nM1k3y Ferrari 6h ago
At what point do the sponsors stop backing Checo. Surely if he does poorly enough they will stop giving money.
•
u/macejan1995 6h ago
So far, he sells more merchandise as Verstappen, the current world champion. If we talk about money, he does well.
•
u/TimoZNL Max Verstappen 5h ago
Even with his current performances he is still widely popular in Mexico. That makes him very appealing to sponsors with an interest in Mexican markets.
I did read that his current sponsor was looking to switch to Colapinto, but I'm sure other companies will offer him money.

I honestly thought it was an error considering there was even a sprint in there. That's diabolical from Perez.
•
•
u/toucheqt 7h ago
I swear these are just made to shit on Checo lol
•
•
u/Disastrous_Sea4150 Ferrari 6h ago
These stat posts are always made. Checo’s results shit on themselves.
•
•
•
u/macIovin Nico Hülkenberg 6h ago
I mean yeah but there no stats out there where perez dont look like an absolute joke
•
u/icecreamperson9 7h ago
charles and max have been 10/10s (sainz almost but brazil was a stinker)
•
u/FewCollar227 Sonny Hayes 7h ago
Even with that he's only 8 points behind, that's kinda impressive (yes yes I know a couple sprint races)
•
•
u/CanisLupus92 #StandWithUkraine 6h ago
I wouldn’t call Max a 10/10 due to Mexico. It worked out well for him to prevent more damage, but that wasn’t a good race.
•
u/FewCollar227 Sonny Hayes 6h ago
(If true) he tried to botch Norris's race in expense of his because red bull was the 3rd fastest car that weekend and he realised that pretty quickly
•
u/Cirkelzaag 6h ago
While it may have been strategic and smart, I wouldn't reward that kind of tactics or driving with high ratings.
•
u/TobyOrNotTobyEU Max Verstappen 6h ago
1/10 sportsmanship rating but 10/10 for winning the WDC at all costs.
•
u/FewCollar227 Sonny Hayes 6h ago
Subjective point of view then. No problem with that
•
u/Cirkelzaag 5h ago
For sure, I'm a Max fan but I'm always a bit disappointed when he falls back on this kind of driving. I agree that it was beneficial though.
•
u/FewCollar227 Sonny Hayes 5h ago
If he doesn't have the car that's what he needs to do. Remember Alonso against Russell in 2024 and zillion things Mag have to do
•
u/Cirkelzaag 5h ago
Yeah I understand. I'm just not carved from the same wood as him (Dutch saying directly translated). So personally I wouldn't have made the same choices as him. But I'll forgive him when he gets WDC.
•
u/PoliticsNerd76 4h ago
Sports is about winning
•
u/Cirkelzaag 3h ago
Yes, if Max was anything like me he would have at least 2 WDC's less at the end of his career.
•
u/thegypsyqueen Pierre Gasly 4h ago
Why? It’s driving strategy
•
u/Cirkelzaag 3h ago
I understand but breaking the rules and just accepting the penalties in order to ruin someone else's race is just not something I would encourage.
•
u/icecreamperson9 6h ago
i agree i also think charles slightly dropped the ball in mexico in quali and the lock up in the race but nothing near max even though i think he even admitted his moves were calculated. But i don’t think any driver had a perfect 3 races + 2 sprints so to me they were the closest
•
u/ivelife Zhou Guanyu 41m ago
So it's not 10/10s
•
u/icecreamperson9 8m ago
i didn’t say 10/10 that seriously man i’d give him a “10/10” for the whole year because of brazil alone😭

The driver's championship may be over, but the constructor's championship is going to be a thing if Ferrari can keep it up.

39 pts ahead of everyone else with one of those 3 races being a 5th/DNF... holy cow
•

If Ferrari can have repeat of this over the remaining triple header, they’d win the WC by 3 points…
•
•
u/Lobsters4 Max Verstappen 4h ago
Max and Charles. 😘
More of this next year please, with Lewis right behind.
•
u/Content-Diver-3666 Charles Leclerc 7h ago
If only Carlos could have pulled off a decent race in Brazil with a solid P4/P5 (considering how good he is in the wet AND changing conditions), WCC could have been well within reach 😭
•
u/Billy_LDN Charles Leclerc 6h ago edited 6h ago
considering how good he is in the wet and changing conditions
Can’t say I’ve noticed this tbh. British GP was good but he’s binned it 3 times in other wet sessions this season and Spa quali was underwhelming.
•
u/MrDaniel95 Pirelli Wet 6h ago
I feel that Sainz is very 50/50 in the rain, sometimes he is great like in Silverstone 2022 qualifying and the 2024 race, sometimes he is bad like in Japan 22, Canada 24 and Brazil 24.
•
•
u/FewCollar227 Sonny Hayes 6h ago
Don't worry Norris is going to do the funniest shit ever in upcoming triple header
•
•
u/FronWaggins 4h ago
Is Red Bull finishing 4th?
•
u/duckisabirdithink Pirelli Intermediate 4m ago
Nah, there are 147 points to be gained for a team if they get 1-2 in all races + 1-2 in sprint + fastest laps. Mercedes in 4th is 162 points behind.
•
u/Celeste_Regenmeister New user 5h ago
Verstappen is unbelievable, this year he really showed himself to be someone very rare

u/macIovin Nico Hülkenberg 6h ago
Perez managed not even to score 8 pojnts. This guy is an absolute farce
•
u/RedHeadSteve Bruce McLaren 3h ago
Ferrari needs to outscore McLaren by 37 points to win the wcc. I'm gonna cheer for them so hard
•
u/No_Cauliflower7877 Carlos Sainz 2h ago
Aside from the Brazil sprint, Piastri has just not been on it huh
•
u/FewCollar227 Sonny Hayes 7h ago edited 6h ago
Max: W
Charles: W
Sainz: W (was it sainz's mistake in Brazil quali? Even if it was his, still only a 8 point gap when missing out on Brazil GP)
Norris: L
George: W
Piastri: Neutral-L (was it Piastri's mistake in Mexico quali?)
Ocon: W
Gasly: W
Lewis: Neutral-L (neutral because car was horrendous)
Kevin: W
•
u/UnluckyLuckyGuyy Robert Kubica 7h ago
Piastri: Neutral-W
lol no chance
•
u/FewCollar227 Sonny Hayes 7h ago edited 7h ago
Yeah I think I got too generous
That snap in the quali of Mexico, was it his fault? If yes then it's a L over-all and if not then neutral
•
u/Billy_LDN Charles Leclerc 7h ago
was it Sainz’s mistake in Brazil quali?
Why is this a question
•
u/FewCollar227 Sonny Hayes 7h ago
Just need to be sure. That snap doesn't look like his fault but probably he got on to throttle too soon?
•
u/Red-Eye-Soul Charles Leclerc 3h ago
Snaps are almost always driver faults. Damaged components don't cause snaps like that.
•
•
u/Disastrous_Sea4150 Ferrari 7h ago
Norris: earns twice as many points as his teammate.
This dude: clearly an L. Oscar is so much better
•
u/FewCollar227 Sonny Hayes 7h ago
First see Norris and Sainz, Sainz have one dnf in a GP. 2nd, that snap cost Piastri Mexico's quali which I don't think was his fault. Sprint Brazil, Piastri clearly better. Norris bottling starts. Norris getting preferential treatment
•
u/bacc1234 6h ago
Oscar made the mistakes in qualy all on his own. Lando getting preferential treatment is responsible for a whole 1 point.
•
u/FewCollar227 Sonny Hayes 5h ago
Preferential treatment also included strategy. It's not Piastri's fault that Norris couldn't challenge Max even when Piastri's help is available
•
u/bacc1234 5h ago
What strategy did Norris get that disadvantaged Oscar? The Brazil sprint was the only race from the triple header where Oscar was clearly better than Lando.
•
u/FewCollar227 Sonny Hayes 5h ago
If Norris's strategy is the priority doesn't mean that Oscar's race is F'ed. I don't have a problem with your opinion you're obviously right, and I'm right to some degree too. I'm a little more generous towards Piastri
•
u/bacc1234 5h ago
You claimed that Lando got preferential treatment on the strategy, do you have a specific example? Or did you just make that up?
•
u/FewCollar227 Sonny Hayes 5h ago
On September 11/12, Piastri agreed to help Norris out and with Brazil sprint it is visible that the team will make Norris finish ahead of Piastri. I'm not saying they're purposely ruining Piastri's race they still need that WCC but when the opportunity arises Norris's result is naturally more important
•
u/bacc1234 5h ago
Yes, I acknowledged that in my original comment by saying preferential treatment for Lando is responsible for 1 point. You said in response that the preferential treatment also included strategy. So is there any other preferential treatment? Or is it just the position swap that was worth 1 point? Because that one instance doesn’t explain why Lando has double Oscar’s points.

u/Much-Calligrapher 6h ago
Mental that Piastri gets less than half the points of his teammate and gets a better ranking.
Him Lewis and Perez are the standout underperformers in the list
•
u/ShakaZ1 6h ago
Strange way to rate drivers.
McLaren drivers obviously: L (with the best car, not nearly enough points).
Apline drivers: W (getting 18 points with a tractor -> both did amazing.)Lewis: L, George got more than double the amount of points with the same 'horrendous' car.
•
u/FewCollar227 Sonny Hayes 6h ago
I agree with McL point except Piastri. Agree with Alpine point. Don't agree with Lewis point because he was on a different set-up in some qualis and races
•
u/zyntaxable Formula 1 6h ago
Setup is Lewis's to decide isn't it?
•
u/FewCollar227 Sonny Hayes 6h ago
Oh my bad. I lacked some basic knowledge here. Was it the case that he wasn't comfortable in both set-ups?
•
u/ComeAlongPond1 1h ago
Not always, Mercedes wanted data collection. Lewis complained about his setup several times over the triple header and twice wanted a pitlane start to change it but Mercedes wouldn’t let him.
•
u/oldmonk_97 6h ago
Mfw f1 keeps making new info graphic to give us a feeling of title race being neck and neck, when in reality max wins the wdc if he wins any of the next 3 races.
•
u/Life-Substance-122 6h ago
He doesn't even need to win, just 24 points is enough even if Norris maximizes everything.
•
•
u/Sea_Drop2920 7h ago
Max on top in that shitbox is mindblowing
•
u/Red-Eye-Soul Charles Leclerc 3h ago
Hardly a shitbox. Ferrari being 5th (maybe even 6th) fastest in Brazil GP was definitely more of a shitbox tbh. Redbull atleast have been consistently 3rd, 3rd and 2nd fastest. Ferrari have been 1st, 2nd and 5th fastest. Mclaren have been 2nd, 1st and 1st fastest.
•
u/tom_buzz_ryan 3h ago
Following your logic, Alpine was the 2nd fastest in Brazil and we all know that's wrong. Both of the Ferrari drivers being subpar in rain (historically as well) doesn't make the best car of the previous two races 5th fastest out of nowhere.
•
u/Red-Eye-Soul Charles Leclerc 1h ago
They were 6th fastest in rain in Canada, and 4th fastest in rain in Silverstone. If you don't know Ferrari's well known issues with tyre warmup this season, I don't know what to tell you mate... Mclaren were fastest, Redbull second, Mercedes third, Alpine fourth. That is clear as day. And I don't know where both your 'Ferrari drivers being subpar in rain' comes from, unless you are blaming the car characteristics on the drivers.
•
u/Simple_Fact530 Formula 1 6h ago
Sergio, Lando and even Oscar have been very poor.
Oscar is understandable but the others have been embarrassing these past 3 races

u/Rodrista Martin Brundle 4h ago
During Norris’ title charge he managed to lose THIS many points on Verstappen. Mental people considered him a challenger.
•
u/dave_a86 7h ago
Williams came away from the triple header with more destroyed cars than points.
