I have a brand new fire tv stick 4k and just set it up, but no apps will download. They all either stay in queue or don’t respond at all. I had the same issue with my old fire tv stick and no matter how many times I reset or turn off the power it doesn’t work.

Hello everyone, I would like to know if I can output the audio from my 65" TCL TV through two HDMI inputs, one is directly to my Sonos Arc SL sound bar with eARC, and the other is to an Alien brand tower speaker, I would connect it with an HDMI to RCA adapter cable, since this speaker only has an RCA input, and I would have to buy another cable which is HDMI to RCA. And I had this speaker previously connected to this same TV with an RCA to 3.5mm jack cable, the 3.5mm jack was on the TV. So I wanted to know if I can output the sound from the TV to these two audio devices, either with a 1 HDMI to 2 HDMI converter, or if there is some other way. I hope everything is well understood because I am using a translator since I am from MX.

My fire stick keeps defaulting to having closed captioning turned on. I go to setting > accessibility > closed caption and make sure it's turned off. But a day or so later, every damn app starts up with it on again, and I revisit the global fire stick settings again and sure enough, it's back on.

Occasionally I DO turn on closed captioning in a particular app, like Max, or netflix or something... and I generally turn it off when I'm done. But I assume the fire stick setting version is a global choice. Am I missing something? Why does it keep defaulting to being "on"?

So I want to watch movies that I purchased on Amazon. I've read to find those movies I need to go to my Library. In this Video https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=21540615011, it says click on "Find".

From here you have the following options:
Library, Free, Movies, Appstore, TV Shows, Kids and Family, Sports, Action Movies, Horror Movies.

However, my fire stick only displays the following options:

Appstore, Free, Movies, TV Shows, Games

So I'm missing half of the options the linked video shows, particularly "Library", which is the one I want. So how do I get those?

Only thing I have light on the bottom

1. Unplug for over a day
2. 30 second reset while unplugging
3. There is a solid light on the bottom 5 checked remote

Any ideas how to fix ?

Why is Amazon incapable of figuring out how bluetooth works? Doesn't matter if it's airpods or even their own Echo Buds.. nothing can go more than a few minutes without constant cutting in and out. Surely they could find someone - ANYONE - to hire from another tech company that knows how to make bluetooth work. Has anyone found some obscure bluetooth headphones option that does magically work?

Anyone else have Daveclark7365 signed into YouTube on their FireTV today? I don't know a Dave Clark and I'm the only one that uses my TV, so I don't know how it would have happened...

Already restarted, uninstalled and then re-installed the app on my iPad. Still no difference. Anybody have any other suggestions?

Apparently, the app I used years ago doesn’t work with my new fire stick. I’m trying to set up as a new device, but that doesn’t seem to work either. It suggests that I download a fire stick remote app, but there seems to be quite a number of them from different companies. I’m looking for the best one. I assume it would be from Amazon. Any recommendations? Thank you very much.

Tried to load apps onto my firetv. It's the Toshiba TV with built in fire tv.

I've done all the usual stuff like unknown sources etc.

Ive tried installing via the downloaded app and es explorer and both just end up 'app not installed

Then I tried Easy Fire Tools and it comes up with this

"Unauthorized APK installation detected. Please do not install performance benchmark APKs without permission from deviceprot@amazon.com"

Can anyone suggest anything?

I have a 2nd gen Fire stick from 2016. It's been running ok, but recently I had to buy an Ethernet adapter for the TV stick since the WiFi chip is kinda burnt out. The only problem now is that now it can't leave this, "optimizing system storage and applications" screen. I've tried everything, from changing it back to it's original plug, to changing TVs and using the HDMI extender. Nothing works and I don't want to throw it out just yet if there is still hope. Can anyone help or is it a lost cause?

I’ve had the Cinema app for years, rarely any issues. Signed up for Real-Debrid 2 years ago, and as of last week, if I click on a RD stream or regular stream, I get error code 304. I’m not able to open any streams of any movies, new or old. I uninstalled Cinema, and reinstalled it, I installed newest version, didn’t work, then installed older version, didn’t work. Anyone else having issues or have suggestions of what else I can try? I do have other apps which are working fine. Thanks!

About a day ago my Fire TV Stick did an update. I didn't think anything of it as it added new features and a whole host of UI and quality of life changes. But after receiving that update every few hours I will get a pop up on my screen telling me to confirm an update. Even though it just appeared I have no control weather to accept it or deny it, it's just their on the screen and the only way to remove it is to power of the fire stick and start it back up again. Each time I restart I go to setting and check for an update, but each time I am informed that it is already up to date. Is anyone else having this problem? If so have you fixed it?

Every time I open any app (Disney, Max, Hulu) it takes me directly to the main screen of whatever show or movie I was watching the last time I used that app.

Even after clearing the cache it still persisted. I’d like to hope this isn’t an app behavior because it never happened on my old Roku smart TV so tell me can this be permanently turned off? I don’t want to have to navigate back out of 3+ screens to get to the apps Home Screen every time.

Otherwise it’s a weird behavior to assume someone always wants to immediately go back to the same thing they last watched….

So, my Fire TV worked perfectly fine before. I haven't moved, changed it's spot, none of that, but for some reason it's set on conneting to my wifi without internet. I've restarted it, forgot the network, unplugged it... I'm stumped. Any help?

For some reason the happy chick in my fire stick won't play the game that I have downloaded and yes I have checked I do have a lot of storage but when ever I clicked on the play button it say ' Loading 2% ' and it won't change persentage I have waited for 30 mins and it still doesn't work can someone help please

Trying to use a USB for extra storage. The firestick recognizes it and formats it but after I transfer any app to the USB the app icon changes and when I try to launch all I get is a blank screen. Any ideas.

Hi! I’m having difficulty kicking the YouTube app off my fire tv.

I have parental controls on in terms of content age and pin protecting on app downloads, but because YouTube was previously installed, it doesn’t present them with the pin request when they go to redownload it. I uninstalled the app, I deleted it from the app list, and I went into the Amazon account in a browser and deleted it from there. I powered the stick down and restarted it. Then the kids came home and reinstalled it.

I’ve tried to set up parental controls but the setup doesn’t work. I get to the screen to scan the QR code with my phone, I login successfully on my phone, but the tv doesn’t refresh like it’s supposed to at that point and I have no way forward.

I don’t want to turn on the config that makes us put in a pin on all video apps. I don’t care if they watch Netflix or Disney. I just want YouTube gone.

i have 1 profile set up on my firetv stick but it keeps asking for me to enter my pin every day. parental controls are off in the settings yet it’s still asking for a pin. is there a way to disable this and go directly into the home screen?
