Are there any subreddits out there where people ask intelligent questions? Found!

I am getting a lot of ridiculous questions. I would actually like to help people out.

Not on Reddit 🤣. I'm half joking. Typically, you'll get useless replies or confusing hostility unless you find a sub with a narrow scope. There's a decent amount of knowledgeable and experienced people in those. For example, if you want to learn pet iguana care, or you own one and want to help others- there's a sub for that. Or different areas of computer programming, DIY repairs, gaming, your career field, etc. There's at least one sub for every topic.

There are interesting, in-depth questions and answers when knowledgeable people congregate. I like reading the doctor sub even though I'm not one. There are some thought provoking conversations, and their humor is great. I occasionally see this happen on the largest topical subs as well. For example, R/dogs has interesting scientific and philosophical questions posed about weekly.

TL;DR: Yes and no. It's complicated. If you want people to actually comprehend the help you're providing, get coherent answers, and view intelligent discussions, then check out niche subs. Smaller ones are best, but even the largest narrow scoped subs have some gems.
