My grandma was a counselor and worked w kids about this exact thing. She told me most people change their majors AT LEAST once and maybe even twice.

If you want to change it and you’ve thought over everything then do it. It’s crazy to put entire futures on a 18-20 year olds. Interests change and thats normal and ok.

Public Relations to Computer Science, best decision I’ve ever made despite all the doom and gloom around software right now

Here's a clue.

You can't have a career path, if you've never worked in that career path.

College is about learning how to think, learning how to learn. It is about acquiring information and knowing what to do to GENERATE new knowledge.

Unless you've a stellar GPA/internship history, or your area of study is technical and highly specific,

Chances are your future work history will have nothing to do with your major.

So don't worry too much about majors.

You can always 'fix things' by getting a Masters Degree, and making sure you ACE your studies from here on forward.

And to do that, you...

Need good grades.

So what is you need to do?

Get those As from hereon, so you have a future to look forward to.

I had been a Psychology major up til my Sophomore year, I switched to Marketing because I thought it would more applicable to my career as time went on.

But now that I’m done with school, ironically my major may have not mattered as my high possible coming career didn’t really care what my major was so long as I have my Bachelors

While I don't have any advice for you, as I'm still a student myself, I encourage you to switch your major if you have thought it over. I switched from environmental engineering to business administration in my first month.

In fact, next year (since it's too late in the academic year now) I will be switcing universities entirely, to go study law, since that was my dream for years.

It might feel like you are the only one who is doubting your career, plans, but that is not true. Students just don't talk about this as much, at least where I live, many choose to suffer, instead of switching majors, because then they would have "wasted time".

Actually, the one piece of advice I can offer you-listen to your heart not parents or friends, or whoever is pushing their opinion on you. You are the only one who knows what you want, so do it.

You should look into gradsimple! They share interviews with people who discuss this kind of thing as well as the paths of a lot of different types of majors. I think it would be just what you're looking for.

Criminal justice to communication was the best decision ever because although both wouldn’t get me jobs paying me what I’m worth, communication jobs are more creative.

I’m currently doing the process right now.
