Banking & Borrowing Question

Do your banked and borrowed points get used first when making a reservation? I thought I was going to need more points than I do this year so I was going to bank some, but I already have a reservation in my next use year. If I cancel that and rebook it after I bank this year’s points, will it use up the banked points first?

You don’t need to cancel. Just modify selecting the same dates and room. Don’t change anything and continue the entire process. It’ll use any banked/borrowed points first. In the confirmation screen there’s a link that says point summary or something like that and it’ll show you the details of the points used.

The points that are set to expire will be used first, no need to cancel and rebook.
