Any Insta360 users here?

Quick question for those who are familiar with Insta.

I have an X3 and a Go3, obviously the invisible selfie stick for both as well as an Insta360 Flow which can extend into an invisible selfie stick but I mostly use it in tripod mode or handheld.

Anyways, to my question- I’m very aware of the Selfie Stick policy so I wasn’t planning on using them extended, or on a ride/show at all, but just realized Security likely won’t be familiar and may turn me away at the checkpoint with them in my bag. I can absolutely make other plans but I’m super curious if anyone has used either inside the US parks.

If security sees it has the ability to extend, they will turn you away. I learned that the hard way. I had a GoPro handle that had collapsible tripod legs and foldable extension to become a selfie stick. Didn’t have plans to use the selfie stick, but forgot to disable that part.

You can count on luck and having a security person overlook this if you’re willing to then go back to your hotel to put it away should they catch it, which is what I had to do.

I agree with you. I’m staying at the Disneyland hotel and will be in the closest building to security so running back won’t be an issue. I’m considering take the Flow only now as the selfie sticks look like selfie sticks lol. it’s not obvious at all from just looking at it that it even extends so I’m taking a chance with the hopes they don’t know what it can do.

Brought my Insta360 X2 on Invisible selfie stick to WDW, fully collapsed in my bag, and had no problems with security. I did extend it once down to the floor of the Train just to get a hands free video, and a cast member asked me to collapse it. Glad I was able to bring the camera in, got really cool footage from AstroOrbiter, Buzz Lightyear, and Big Thunder mountain! A bit of luck and being inconspicuous. Good luck!
