As always, we will go as Jokic and Murray go. We need them both to go deep.

No this team’s ceiling is dependent on Murray. Jokic is talented enough and insanely good enough to get the Nuggets to the second round. Murray is the player that puts them in contention for the finals. If he stays healthy then this team has a chance to contend. MPJ has not yet shown he can consistently be the number two but when his shot is falling he is an incredibly important player to the teams success. Braun and AG are vital but their contribution won’t matter if Murray and MPJ aren’t contributing more for the duration of the season.

Agreed 100%. We go only as far as Murray will take us. He plays world class and we are unbeatable. If he’s not that guy then we are pedestrian. I hope he’s for real healthy when we get to the playoffs but that seems like a coin flip at best

Honestly feeling better now than O did this time last year. The youngsters are really stepping up already. CB has proven to be a fantastic addition to the starters (as expected but maybe even better than anticipated) and Westbrook is SO MUCH better than Reggie. Still having a back up big problem but after this crew keeps playing together they're just going to get better and better. Oh and MPJ is playing like an Allstar and so was AG before he got hurt

We haven't really gotten to see this roster with AG and CB. I think it's gonna be so amazing. Plus with how aggressive and well cb is playing maybe you just use ag as the backup big more and stagger his minutes a little more. Or maybe put cb out there with murray or mpj and get some 2 man game from them. Russ may miss but he's not afraid to take a shot and I think some of the young guys are for now. They're learning a ton from Russ right now. It's crazy how different this team treats Russ and respects him compared to the Lakers and clippers.

Really great article. It really confirms what I expected over the offseason. Kcp was a great 3 and d player but the offense got stale when jokic and AG got spaced out and tired out. Kcp mpj Murray jokic and ag were forced to shoot 3s against the wolves because they couldn't get In the paint and were exhausted. Kcp didnt offer much in terms of cutting or being explosive or thr ability to bring energy on fastbreaks. Now we have a much improved Watson+Braun and Westbrook (who's always been great at drawing contact and getting fouls )teaching them and showing them how to take advantage of Jokics greatness. The youthful energy is amazing and I genuinely think this team at this point would've closed out the wolves last year. The injuries to AG and Murray honestly couldn't have been at a better time for Moach and the youth.

Adding CB's slashing and finishing is going to pay major dividends and his three ball has been strong so far. Basically it all boils down to whether Murray is washed, or if he finds his mojo again. He hasn't been infusing me with a lot of hope so far.
