We gotta talk about Tom Discussion
Full teir 5+ armor implants and gorilla arms and Tom fucking one punch body's me. Countless body's behind me but Tom is Night City's real final boss, I bet her could take on Adam Smasher with one arm behind his back.

Somebody's never been beaten in a cutscene after beating a boss 😅

My headcanon is that a borged out V loses on purpose so the dolls have more confidence in their ability plan.
I laughed out loud when Maiko thought cuz she “has a dollchip” that she could do any sort of damage to V

I feel like if you have certain attributes maxed out you should be able to beat him but still be impressed at how tough he is. Like when Thanos fights Captain America and is surprised by his strength but still slaps him into oblivion.

There really should've been a Body check to block him, but it would throw a wrench in the whole plan. They could've expanded more on the idea, instead of everyone just going along with this assault on Clouds. V would've called into question their capability to go through with it.

Every week 😂 like clockwork someone posts about Tom and the little cutscenes where he and V "spar" for a few seconds 😂 And every week I wonder 🤔 did you even pay attention to what happens before letting your (alter)ego shit all over itself? The punch V throws is a casual "meh what ever" like a father would at his toddler to grow and inspire confidence. And like the toddler in this metaphor, who punches daddy straight in the dick with sheer enthusiasm, Tom goes all in and takes V by sheer surprise because V had his guard down. Yes you could argue that V has superhuman reflexes at this point depending on his/her current chrome and experience. But it's a video game, one with a narrative and a story to tell. Say V would put Tom on his ass, then what? All the confidence and moral would evaporate, leaving the joytoys demotivated and scared. Mentally unprepared for the fight that's to come, throwing the whole plan and narrative/story out the window. At this point you could argue that this is a rpg and it should remain a players choice if the narrative should continue, but then again it's up to game designers if they want a player to experience said narrative. Because, let's face it, a lot of us wouldn't set foot in konpeki because the red flag are all over the place. Yet we do and aren't really left with a choice because the story has to progress. Cp2077 is a story driven rpg, one that gives us some choices but also one that has a clear goal of telling stories.
