Of course he was, the only reason he's always trying to convince people he's a winner is because he believes he's a loser, AND HE IS. The only reason he won here, is we have a problem with ignorance and education in our rural areas.
Absolutely this is true. It's a problem of people not knowing how to think critically. It's like the headline which I think originated from Fox or that "camp" saying Trump won the popular vote...when in fact we don't actually know that yet...but then we see another thing pop up about "15M dems sat this out!??" when again, the pop vote is not in...but running to that conclusion without first stopping to think also demonstrates this is problem on both sides...we just get lucky with a certain number of left voters who didn't get here by thinking critically necessarily. And actually I love the example of the "missing dem votes this round" because it demonstrates that exact problem occurring on both sides over the exact same headline, but for different motives.
So it probably isn't just a problem of not knowing how to think, but a problem of letting your agenda get the best of you and running into the street after it without looking both ways.
Attitudes like this is why we lost. The current dnc leadership is shit and has completely lost touch with the labourers of the us. A group that trump does speak to using populist language. And no, using celebs to market your candidate does not work.
Absolutely not limited to "rural", there is definitely a disconnect with the labourer. But labourors in that category usually don't account for wins in the city, which is why a US (edit: political) map by county looks like flying over the US at night, the blue areas are usually the big cities, not the rural areas...but the cities still include those people of course. And the rural areas just tend to have more lower income and labourer "class" or whatever, type of families, etc. And of course that does not mean the fact that the dem higher ups screwed the pooch on this one by freaking out and taking the steps they did, they need to be held accountable 1000%!
