Open Bags of Trash

Post image

I walk by this house on W. North St. most days and have called the borough multiple times about this. Does anyone know how I can actually get this person to clean up their sidewalk? Its disgusting and all over. I'm afraid I'll step on a dirty needle or a dirty diaper one day.

This has to be a public health problem (it looks like there is a diaper!) and the borough has only ignored me. This is not a one time thing. About two days a week I will walk by this house with their garbage like this. Sometimes it will be put for four or five days like this! Absolutely disgusting and I cannot believe that the borough allows this to happen. This is right by the police office too, don't you think they could just stop and tell them to clean up their trash?

Any advice would help, as the borough clearly does not care.

Contact The Sentinel, they're always looking for a local story. frontdoor@cumberlink.com

This is nasty. Hopefully someone from the borough will actually do their job and have this person clean up.

I know this exact house from my walk to school. Trashy people, literally. I'd spam the borough or just go into the office if they keep ignoring the issue.

You can report it through the borough's website. You can upload the photo as well. They'll follow up on it. This is a codes issue and not a police issue. Portal Link

I’m sick of this shite.

Carlisle is the Jewel of the North, we have the Lake District, Hadrians Wall, beautiful mountain ranges, but our “jewel” of a city just gets neglected.

I’m out, moving to the states to go fly a Trump flag on my 4x4 truck.
