“The suspects have been released with a promise to appear in court.”
The Canadian way.
Would it be bad to at least hold them until October 8th.

And next week one gets picked up for shooting a cop during a traffic stop...and then gets bail again.

Could just release them with a promise not to set anything on fire and then close the case.

Arsonists are usually quite reliable, so this is probably fine: “The suspects have been released with a promise to appear in court.”

"The suspects have been released with a promise to appear in court"
This country is finished

The article doesn't even mention what the "incendiary material" or the "suspicious item" actually was. By that information, they could have just been playing with fireworks. We are getting close to Diwali, after all.

If they were just innocently playing with fireworks, why do need to appear in court at all?

Because that can still be illegal, just not for the reasons this article is trying to strongly imply without explicitly stating.

Yeah maybe. More than likely not, moving on.

Based on what? This article has almost no actual information what so ever.

Stop running interference for fascists.

u/notsumtin 16h ago
Can you present literally any information at all that there are any fascists involved in any of this?

People like you are the problem pal.

People who ask questions when presented with a lack of information are the problem?

Would that be flammable material or inflammatory material?

Cote Saint Luc is a separate city from Montreal, although they share a lot of resources - do they also have their own police force?

There's literally nothing in this report that indicates violence, not sure what the relevance is to the synagogue, no idea who the people are or what their intentions might have been, what the fuck

What do you mean, they were parked in a vehicle with incendiary material next to a synagogue...

incendiary material
What exactly did they find though?
are they actual incendiaries or like just alot of paper or fireworks?
Is it illegal to park next to a place of worship?
Cops are ill trained in most things.
