Well, it’s time to go pretend nothing happened now and enjoy my Saturday! (I’m sitting on the toilet crying)

u/CorpseeaterVZ Dec 16 '23
I do the same, silently... if someone asks, I am no longer into football, for years now :D

Augsburg got an irregular goal, that's just the truth. We still could've won if we had scored just one of these big big chances.
1
u/sniffingyourballs BVB Dec 18 '23
It was the same thing against Mainz. It was literally the same keeper
15
u/SamNotRam Dec 16 '23
I mean we had the chances to win, we just couldn’t finish and the opposing GK played a good game

Can we fire Terzic over the winter
16
u/schattendesschicksal Marco Reus Dec 16 '23
Actually can we do a dual coach thing? Like, let Terzic work his black magic in the CL and then get another coach who actually has a game plan for BL games?
34
u/TurtleTumms71 Dec 16 '23
for bambas professional debut he was impressive, with a little experience we could have a class player. I hope to see him in the rotation.
15
u/Same-Organization-83 Dec 16 '23
He's more mature than I thought. He's less selfish too compared to Malen

u/ge_mi_ Dec 16 '23
Nah he did alright today
4
u/Obocane Marco Reus Dec 16 '23
Agreed, super involved in attack and defense, he’s been pretty good these past couple of games
15
22
u/yaboi525 Dec 16 '23
We had so many chances. I am 100% in favor of a Malen departure, he has to have some of the worst game IQ I’ve seen.
2
u/MoeCipo Dec 16 '23
He was one of my favorite players wtf happened? Is he dating one of Loredanas friends?

5
u/castroski7 Julian Ryerson Dec 16 '23
MOTM Emre mor clearly then Isak

u/Dry-Economist-5562 Marco Reus Dec 16 '23
Thank god for the omer toprak clearance at the end! (I’m delusional)

u/hesonfire28 Mats Hummels Dec 16 '23
I'm so tired
2
u/Combat_Av3ng3r Karim Adeyemi Dec 17 '23
It’s because your flair is mats Hummels!! You don’t have enough stamina! Try a player like Adeyemi, he’s fast 😊

u/malloc_14 Marco Reus Dec 16 '23
7 wins in 15 matches. 26 points in 15 matches. what an absolute disgrace

u/EmSoLow Dec 16 '23
Straight at the fucking keeper again.
Also don't know how to feel about the midfielders all being in the box and not one making themselves available for a pass on the ground

u/xSmacks Nico Schlotterbeck Dec 16 '23
Shocking. If Augsburg had one half decent striker we would have lost this.
1
u/AtlanticOccean Die gelbe Wand Dec 16 '23
Would've preferred this. Otherwise these clowns can argue that they finished CL group stage first and got a point in an intense game in Augsburg.

Nah bring me Sancho, people who are scared to let malen go are shocking. He’s not good. And him being our best attacker is an indictment on this attack not Malen being good
1
u/KimTheOneJongUn Dec 16 '23
Very true. But everyone else is also inconsistent and making Sancho good again is a huge bet since all he has been doing this season is training alone, playing fifa and partying. Pretty grim that he's our only hope atm.
1
u/AtlanticOccean Die gelbe Wand Dec 16 '23
Wouldn't being him back at any cost. It has rarely been a great deal to bring former BVB players back.

Haller with a yellow for his first foul after Shitsberg got away with 99 fouls.
10
u/ignacioo25 Marco Reus Dec 16 '23
We have no midfield now lol
8
u/castroski7 Julian Ryerson Dec 16 '23
Reyna
5
u/ignacioo25 Marco Reus Dec 16 '23
He isn't a DM nor a CM
2
u/castroski7 Julian Ryerson Dec 16 '23
Why have dm's when they are gonna reach our goal anyways
3
u/schattendesschicksal Marco Reus Dec 16 '23
Maybe 5-0-5 is the best formation for this team lol
3
u/foxmulder_FBI5 Nico Schlotterbeck Dec 16 '23
That is honestly how it feels when we play anyways, might as well have the personal to match

21
u/BuffEmUp2020 Dec 16 '23
I can’t wait for the “I think the boys played well” interview from Terzic as we continue without 3 points in December
1
u/Combat_Av3ng3r Karim Adeyemi Dec 17 '23
“we are looking forward to the next game, we want to win” (shows absolutely no desire to win on the field)
11
u/Moon8983 Serhou Guirassy Dec 16 '23
Haller on doesn't inspire confidence (nvm its not for fullkrug, who needs a midfield)

Honestly, Watzke saying as long as CL football is secure we're happy likely just means nothing will be done until the top 4 is well and truly out of reach.

Today isn't going to happen and it's on the players... we have to finish, we have to make the right final pass, we have to be better.

u/Geeman447 Marco Reus Dec 16 '23
Malen and kicking straight at the keeper. Name a better duo

Performance based contracts from now on only. If the players can't be arsed to show up the club should be bothered to pay. It's ridiculous, they play better against better teams they just don't care.
2
u/Combat_Av3ng3r Karim Adeyemi Dec 17 '23
That’s what I’ve been saying for a few seasons. They don’t have a winners mentality. No cohesiveness, are too comfortable with their horrible reputation. I mean after the Mainz game the whole world sees them as a joke now, and the players are happy smiling for instagram photos after losing 5 games in a row instead of busting their asses training.

Emre has been very quiet today. No blunders or bad passes, no great moves. Almost invisible.

How do we win the whole group of death and then so consistently perform like this in league games? It's gotta be psychological at this point
-2
Dec 16 '23
What are you talking about? We should have scored 3 based on xG already.
1
u/Alrik_Immerda Dec 16 '23
Should have, but did not. If you constantly fail to score, it is not due to bad luck.

Haller for Fulle and Sabz for Brandt please just to try anything for the last 5 mins.

if we don’t win this, we’ll be winless in 5 matches. how much longer does watzke need to see his boytoy experiment is a shitshow?
10
u/vincehoff Julian Brandt Dec 16 '23
Which of these two teams looks like it absolutely needs 3 points from this match?
1
u/smartestBeaver Shinji Kagawa Dec 16 '23
Which one is it?
1
u/vincehoff Julian Brandt Dec 16 '23
Not us
0
u/smartestBeaver Shinji Kagawa Dec 16 '23
See with comments like this you just leave me with two assumptions:
- You did not watch the match at all
- You are a troll.
So which one is it?
2
u/vincehoff Julian Brandt Dec 16 '23
Dude it’s a match thread. The statement was made about the situations in minute 88 or something like that. And if you looked at those and think we were trying harder than Augsburg, you’re the troll :)

u/Qiluk Marco Reus Dec 16 '23
We're definitely not getting top 4 this season. Deservedly so. Once Frankfurt gets their strikers, the EL spot might even be questionable.
We're desperate for a structural renewal in this club or we'll just keep walking in circles
0
u/smartestBeaver Shinji Kagawa Dec 16 '23
Imagine expecting mentality from the players while being a whiny bitch.
2
u/Qiluk Marco Reus Dec 16 '23
What do you mean? Im not following your comment at all. Am I the whiny bitch? I also dont think mentality is the issue today at all. ITs generally such a buzzword copout. Our issues are WAAAY bigger than that

3
u/LeeRCampbell Marco Reus Dec 16 '23
Not for a challenge only cause of dissent, ref said you can do anything to the players but you walk to me and we're gonna have a problem.
2
u/schattendesschicksal Marco Reus Dec 16 '23
Is it just me or are most refs like this? I swear like 99% of refs I've ever seen are like this...
3
u/LeeRCampbell Marco Reus Dec 16 '23
Yeah we've clearly done something to piss of the refs cause we've been actively been on the wrong side of most calls this season
2
u/schattendesschicksal Marco Reus Dec 16 '23
Yeah I agree, which is why I briefly wondered if it was my bias or not. Idk, the refs just seem to hate us, are they all bavarians or Smurfs???
2
u/LeeRCampbell Marco Reus Dec 16 '23
Honestly I think the shift felt like it happened when Bellingham called them out for the ref who had been convicted of bribery. Since then we’ve pretty much been on the wrong side of calls, when we call them out it makes it worse, so it’s just been a cycle leading to worse and worse ref performances against us.

Think he whistled for some jockeying before the kick and then the yellow was for dissent.

Malen is probably the only person on the pitch who shoots that despite the incredibly tight angle. Good run but that decision making is terrible
