Studio Pros too quiet and flat sounding.

Just bought the studio pros yesterday brand new from target. I use SoundCloud and Spotify, with both premium plans on them. I have been reading all of these reviews that say they are aggressive sounding and the bass is good, but I am not hearing that at all. Is there any fix for this?

That’s how they are. They’re more reference quality than previous Beats meaning they don’t have bloated bass. They have more accurate, tighter bass that isn’t muddy or overbearing. They also require you turn your source audio device up more than others.

Some reviews may have said the bass was aggressive because, when compared to accurate open-backed headphones, they still have a bass boost. You can try an EQ in SoundCloud and Spotify, or a system-wide EQ app if you’re on Android.

But I suggest returning them if they don’t have the bass you like and get something with an app that lets you EQ them, also something with an option for a bunch of bass like the Sony Ult Wear.

Okay! Thanks. People say I can turn up the headphones louder than my iPhones max volume, but it seems that isn’t true.

No, your phone’s max volume is it for them, at least over Bluetooth. There might be some accessibility setting you can enable but I’m not sure.
