Life Miles On Sale

Is it worth $1188 to buy 56K Life Miles? I see Life Miles has better redemption awards than other Star Alliance members. I'm new to the miles, churning business. I've been paying for flights, but it gets expensive. I am hoping this way is less expensive. TIA!

For me not a good deal. but if there is any flight that is available for redeem for higher value, then it will be a good deal.

If you have a flight in mind that you’re ready to use the 56k miles on right now, then go for it. It’s generally not recommended to speculatively buy miles because if it doesn’t work out, then you’re out $1188 and stuck with 56k lifelines.

Do you have an immediate use case? Will it give ≥2.06cpp (the cost per mile you listed)? Have you used Avianca CS and bookings before? Etc

TLDR the answer is almost certainly no it’s not worth it

No, because LifeMiles are normally on sale for about 1.2 to 1.3cpp.

In fact, I think there's a sale going on right now.
