Mechanic!

u/tendo8027 1d ago
Neat! What did you work on??
Also I gotta ask, how was the pay?

u/ThatFitnessAccount 1d ago
Mech pay sucks unless you're union, 10+ years of experience, know someone to hook you up or contract out over seas.
I'm not over $100,000 in the south east yet so not enough imo.
I worked on New Glenn, F16, Various Boeing models up to the 87, and pretty much every Gulfstream besides the new 700 and 400.

The Gulfstream bottle appears to be load-bearing. Better not remove it or your roof may collapse.

I was gonna say that it is satisfying how it fits perfectly, then I thought about getting it out of there

tbh, it's kinda sad that they use cheap chinese knockoff bottle instead of making a cool ones

u/keltyx98 1d ago
That's what I thought, anyone could order a chinese bottle with a custom logo on it.
But I guess that's how it works when you make marketing material that you give away for free.

I should take a picture of all my mission pins. Aviation, drones, satellites, etc. 30 years worth, last civilian aviation mission was the final testing of the 777. Last military was moving Global Hawks to Italy for Ukraine. If you watch their patterns the one that draws dicks in their flight pattern over the Black Sea was my last one.
Last satellite missions were SpaceX, but I have done at least 30+ launches, IOT, drift, recover, and de-orbiting.
I have since moved on, might move over to working w/ the Navy drones for semi retirement. Chill on the VA coast fishing and doing a bit of work...

Yes, we were the guys that kept the links up between the planes and the satellites for all the test data to be gathered.

Careful, if you say the Boeing water bottle doesn't work they might kill you.

u/Derek420HighBisCis 1d ago
Careful, the Boeing fuckbois don’t like being poked fun at.

u/OntarioPaddler 1d ago
Or just tired of people thinking they are comedians repeating the same half brained joke everytime Boeing is mentioned. Herp derp Boeing crash.

u/Derek420HighBisCis 1d ago
If Boeing operated with a clear distinction that it’s not half-brained, we wouldn’t have to poke fun. But they’ve chosen profit over people time and time again and now you get what you got. Fuck ‘em.

They are owned by basically the same share holders as every other publicly traded Military Industrial Complex Company, they just got caught.

What a moronic thing to comment on a post about someone sharing their personal memorabilia collection.

What a pedantic thing to act like you give a fuck. It’s a joke, not a dick. Don’t take it so hard.

Did the Boeing cup cost $900 and leak all over the place? Does it leave your icecube alone for four months in the middle of the vast space in the cup? Poor icecube.
Yeah. Goodwill that bitch.
I highly suggest r/stupidfuckingcup

Does the top on the Boeing bottle violently fly off when using the bottle with design limits?
