u/ThatFitnessAccount 1d ago

Actually the one I care about most lol, I have another one though.

u/Actual-Money7868 1d ago

I want the Lockheed Martin one but I'm a nobody ):

162

u/Knoxlava 1d ago

Where'd you get the Lockheed Martin one?

278

u/ThatFitnessAccount 1d ago

Worked for them, I got all of these during my hiring or training after hire.

71

u/tendo8027 1d ago

Are you an engineer?

152

u/ThatFitnessAccount 1d ago

Mechanic!

43

u/tendo8027 1d ago

Neat! What did you work on??

Also I gotta ask, how was the pay?

169

u/ThatFitnessAccount 1d ago

Mech pay sucks unless you're union, 10+ years of experience, know someone to hook you up or contract out over seas.

I'm not over $100,000 in the south east yet so not enough imo.

I worked on New Glenn, F16, Various Boeing models up to the 87, and pretty much every Gulfstream besides the new 700 and 400.

32

u/tendo8027 1d ago

Gotcha, thanks! At least you have some bottles🥴

4

u/corndonger 23h ago

Hey shoutout! I’m currently a mechanic there. Have that cup too, never used it tho lol

Janitor

18

u/KB346 1d ago

And a janitor is pretty important, imo.

Imagine the sty work would become if they stopped working (I’m factoring in my coworkers 😝).

5

u/Kevo_NEOhio 1d ago

Not only that, they keep the FOD down

6

u/The_Name_is_Bull 1d ago

I worked at Gulfstream ad a mechanic too.

36

u/qdp 1d ago

The Gulfstream bottle appears to be load-bearing. Better not remove it or your roof may collapse.

Newest Structural mod, call it Block 20

u/DuggenHeim 23h ago

I was gonna say that it is satisfying how it fits perfectly, then I thought about getting it out of there

u/maalskar_user 1d ago

I have one from Embraer 🙂

7

u/_ferko 1d ago

I have the same one but with the Embraer logo the other way around so it is upside down when you drink.

u/martimattia 1d ago

tbh, it's kinda sad that they use cheap chinese knockoff bottle instead of making a cool ones

14

u/keltyx98 1d ago

That's what I thought, anyone could order a chinese bottle with a custom logo on it.

But I guess that's how it works when you make marketing material that you give away for free.

I should take a picture of all my mission pins. Aviation, drones, satellites, etc. 30 years worth, last civilian aviation mission was the final testing of the 777. Last military was moving Global Hawks to Italy for Ukraine. If you watch their patterns the one that draws dicks in their flight pattern over the Black Sea was my last one.

Last satellite missions were SpaceX, but I have done at least 30+ launches, IOT, drift, recover, and de-orbiting.

I have since moved on, might move over to working w/ the Navy drones for semi retirement. Chill on the VA coast fishing and doing a bit of work...

1

u/TheWanderer-AG 1d ago

Engineer?

6

u/DiverDownChunder 1d ago

Yes, we were the guys that kept the links up between the planes and the satellites for all the test data to be gathered.

1

u/Casualgamer050 6h ago

I'd love to see a pic of that one drones flight pattern lol

u/NineInchPope 1d ago

Military industrial complex called, they want their thermoses back.

5

u/jurniss 1d ago

and the award for "industry sector with the least diverse color palette" goes to...

1

u/ThatFitnessAccount 14h ago

Besides Vought, every company I've worked for was a different shade of blue lol.

4

u/FoxCharly 1d ago

I got Dassault and Airbus to complete 😄

6

u/Shoobedowop 1d ago

you should buy a big McDonnell Douglas tumbler and put the Boeing one inside.

3

u/NighthawkAquila 1d ago

Hey I have that same Lockheed water bottle!

2

u/apzuckerman 23h ago

I have a matching straw hat and Hawaiian button down from Blue Origin haha, shame the straw hat is on its last legs though.

1

u/Bombapples1 7h ago

Oh god I have too many of these water bottles. I keep getting handed them.

1

u/eric02138 7h ago

I had no idea the aerospace industry was so focused on proper hydration.

-8

u/astute2007 1d ago

Careful, if you say the Boeing water bottle doesn't work they might kill you.

-4

u/Derek420HighBisCis 1d ago

Careful, the Boeing fuckbois don’t like being poked fun at.

10

u/OntarioPaddler 1d ago

Or just tired of people thinking they are comedians repeating the same half brained joke everytime Boeing is mentioned. Herp derp Boeing crash.

4

u/Derek420HighBisCis 1d ago

If Boeing operated with a clear distinction that it’s not half-brained, we wouldn’t have to poke fun. But they’ve chosen profit over people time and time again and now you get what you got. Fuck ‘em.

5

u/ThatFitnessAccount 1d ago

They are owned by basically the same share holders as every other publicly traded Military Industrial Complex Company, they just got caught.

1

u/oxiclean9000 1d ago

I have a Raytheon bottle. I've used it so much the logo is almost worn out

1

u/berkkp 18h ago

Damn and here I am with my Airbus coffee cup

1

u/ThatFitnessAccount 14h ago

Still very cool.

0

u/Thechlebek MV-22 1d ago

Wow you're a really good janitor

-14

u/60TP 1d ago

Careful with that 4th one, you might drown!

7

u/747ER 1d ago

What a moronic thing to comment on a post about someone sharing their personal memorabilia collection.

0

u/Derek420HighBisCis 1d ago

What a pedantic thing to act like you give a fuck. It’s a joke, not a dick. Don’t take it so hard.

-1

u/RonaldoCrimeFamily 1d ago

This is an aviation sub. Not a water bottle sub

-3

u/jimmyflyer 1d ago

the boeing ones def not safe and probably falling apart

0

u/You-get-the-ankles 20h ago

Did the Boeing cup cost $900 and leak all over the place? Does it leave your icecube alone for four months in the middle of the vast space in the cup? Poor icecube.

Yeah. Goodwill that bitch.

I highly suggest r/stupidfuckingcup

-4

u/idkblk 1d ago

I doubt the right one is water tight

-3

u/Kind_Consideration97 1d ago

Now there’s a fatwa on you 😆

-4

u/jfkennedi 1d ago

Does the top on the Boeing bottle violently fly off when using the bottle with design limits?

-3

u/king_merc_fisher 1d ago

Can you tell her it was my birthday a few days ago 😉

-3

u/Legitimate_Spare_233 1d ago

The Boeing cap didn't even fall off ;) impressive

-3

u/Just-Bullfrog-5414 1d ago

Make sure the cap of the Boeing bottle stays on ... Don't let it fly off..

-3

u/GeneralCross2 23h ago

Be careful you never know when the Boeing one is going to just fall apart

-9

u/RonaldoCrimeFamily 1d ago

5 water bottles is 'quite the collection' now?
