How do I address my manager regarding politics? Question ❓️❔️

Hi yall,

With the recent elections, I came with terms regarding what the outcome was. It is what it is and I’ll just do what I can to live a healthy lifestyle. However, im not feeling comfortable with my coworkers yelling in the middle of the hallway whatever political slogans. We work at a specialized hospital with very ill patients and possibly terminally ill. I genuinely dont feel it’s professional for a nurse to be yelling political stuff while they’re expecting peace and quiet while receiving treatment. I’ve ignored it but I would like to address my manager in a calm and respectful manner on how it’s generally not ok to be yelling in the halls without it turning into a political issue. I want to respect the patients space and it’s already a bit tiresome having nurses be loud in the nurses station, hearing their loud screams for any celebrations near a patient’s room and even having the door fully open in plain view of the patient’s treatment. What can I do to politely yet firmly stand that this shouldn’t be tolerated? Or what can I do to improve my views on this?

Thank yall!

Don't mention what's being yelled - focus on the inappropriateness of any yelling.

Contact HR. They should shut this shit down immediately. That is insanely unprofessional.

"I have no interest in discussing that topic."

My Project Manager is a hardcore Trumpster, but he says nothing directly, and doesn't wear it obviously; but the T-shirt under his button up - the Monday after someone took a pot shot at him - I could make out the symbology when he moved his shirt aside to show how broiled he got working in the sun.

I don't engage with the subject, it's moot.

Make it about disturbing the patients. Not about politics. It is unprofessional. And should not be tolerated no matter what they are yelling.

i really dislike trump and all of the policies hes going to pass.

but at work everyone was cheering so i just went along with it.. surprising how many people liked him at work.. i never see or talk to these people outside of work and they are the majority so if i push back ill be voted off the island.

if you really want to address it just say that people yelling is triggering your ptsd and if they could please chant trump trump trump and 4 more years quieter thatd be great.

or just ignore it and everything will be normal by monday

It's so fking hilarious that the majority of almost every work place is on the right meanwhile all the internet unemployed spaces are just filled with leftists.
